Romanticism is part of a person's nature. It does not necessarily reflect itself on "relationships" alone or parts and periods of of a relationship. It will come out in other life endeavors of a person such such as art, reading, music, locality.
Though more emotional than others, romantic people, are usually strong and thoughtful, thus know how to survive....
