I´m not sure... I guess when you start checking each others calenders before making plans, when it becomes a given that you attend parties, functions, etc together, when the majority of nights are spent at one persons place or the others or you move in together....

I would assume when we talk to the person everyday, spend consecutive weekends together, share feelings with the other person, and make plans together.
