Saving Mr Banks.....Won't be everyone's cup of tea but I found it hugely enjoyable. It's the story of P L Travers who wrote Mary Poppins, and how Walt Disney brought the book to life. Emma Thompson is great as always.
Looking forward to Robocop coming out to see if it lives up to the original.
Spent a few days in Sydney with my son last week and loved it, so booked again to stay for Sunday and Monday, we'll see the Darling Harbour fireworks without having to get home too late, then have the next day to relax and wander round before coming home on Tuesday afternoon.
It was funny because at the same time someone else had posted a leaving thread, then stuck around to reply to everyone who posted in it. Made me laugh.
You never quite think it'll be your stuff that goes up, while you've got time make sure you pack things that really can't be replaced, that it would really hurt to lose, anything else can be bought again.
We had a lot of people here say they wish they'd grabbed things their children had made, photo albums, certain jewellery......not necessarily expensive items, just irreplaceable stuff. It's better to unpack later than risk losing them.
Stay safe. It's a horrible feeling just waiting, and completely drains you.
It's amazing the things that gluten's in that you don't expect it to be. Also, just because something doesn't have gluten doesn't mean it's good for you. I fell for that early on :(
Don't stick to the gluten free shelves in the supermarket. If it's on there it tends to be three times the price of non gluten free stuff. Just look at labels. Rice crackers are a good example. $3.50 on the gluten free shelves, $1.20 in the cracker aisle.
I haven't found a decent wheat free pasta yet, cook it for a second too long and it becomes mush, rice flour isn't too bad for making sauces though.
Potatoes are still my downfall so I try to stick more veggies on the plate.
RE: Movies
I'll have the original Rutger Hauer.
