I just had a look too and I'm puzzled..... 32C (90F) on Tuesday in Tassie and that's about it. That's not hot!
Melbourne, Tuesday to Friday: 41, 39, 38, 39.... that's hot.

Still the moving of the earth has a lot more to do with weather patterns - I heard on the news we had an earthquake here in Florida.

For one, you would be use to the heat, secondly the heat here is different in the sun and thirdly tomorrow will be 28, (the coolest for the week). Tues:32, Wed:37, Thurs: 34 and Fri is 33 degrees.
And I'll have you know, that amount of main-landers who come here in the Summer are surprised by the heat, when we have the hot days.
