RE: Is David Beckham hot?

Nah,just have respect for a guy that has been true to his sport and helps kids to get on in the game too.

Love him or hate him,he's made it,and good luck to him.

Many footballers and their "wags" have downgraded footie in my opinion.handshake

Yeh but a lot of them emigrated.tongue

RE: Only in the UK

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK

@ Ziggie.

Wanting to participate in Politics and being able to ,are so far removed from the average person as to be ridiculous.

People[especially on the Forums] are so opinionated about what should be done making sweeping statements without thought to how it can be achieved.

It's so easy to spout off on here and put the World to rights, but saying it and doing it are two entirely different matters.

No disrespect to Sailfree but so many ex pats have an opinion on what goes on in the UK, I wonder why they left.

I read something an ex pat in Spain had posted on Facebook the other day about illegal immigrants getting more than Pensioners. Where are their brains posting such crap.

There is a lot wrong in the UK, same as other countries but I'm still proud to be British. It's not all bad. uk

what are the most important things in starting a relationship...?

A man and a woman would help!laugh

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK

My personal opinion is that we should keep out of other countries disputes BUT ,seeing as we invaded so many countries in the past and took over so to speak, don't think we can sit on the fence when a crisis arises.

Does the UN help in these actual problems? Who knows.dunno

I do feel that Muslim control in many countries now is causing major problems. They are even fighting themselves!

Syrian people are in a living hell situation. We sit in our snug homes and say let them get on with it. We HAVE to get involved whether people like it or not.j.m.o.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK

They are NOT going in to combat. Logistics technical support etc etc

doh

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK

Mr Cameron has said the UK is ready to offer logistical, intelligence and surveillance help to France, although he has ruled out a combat role for British troops.

Afternoon Redex.

The public have to vote him in at the next election for this to happen, and he's on shaky ground.

So it could all go pear shaped anyway.sigh

RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

Agreed.Baying for someone's blood solves nothing.

Don't think they will execute her as Bali rely's on tourism and some people may be put off by this decision.

If the appeal goes through they can go to the Supreme Court in Jakarta.

The British government is against ANY death penalty so probably will get involved ,as has Reprieve, an organisation which is supporting her now.

Rotting in a disease ridden and corrupt jail would be a fate far worse than death anyway.

From what I've seen in the past few months, there are a few people on here that have experienced Karma.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

Yes it can happen depending on the country sentencing.

I would say not in this case though.

RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

Oops, think you may have misunderstood me.

What I meant was that the prison she will end up is a hell hole compared to Holloway.

Can't imagine they will let her serve her sentence in a British prison when the crime was committed in Bali!

RE: EU

These are in use for all foreigners entering legally into this country aren't they.

As I understand it that's their ID card.

RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

Afternoon Redex,

With the conditions that she will be experiencing in the possible next 20 odd years, death might be a welcome release.

I'm not advocating the death sentence, just considering the options.

Holloway would be a 5 star Hotel compared to out there.

RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

Regardless as to whether there are mitigating circumstances or not she has been found guilty. However even the Prosecution thought the sentence harsh. Obviously she will appeal, but she will still go down, though hopefully not via a firing squad ,as that could destroy her kids minds.

Using the excuse of trying to protect her kids? She has now deprived them of this totally!

If you drug traffic in a country with strict laws ,you must expect to pay the consequences on getting caught, especially with the haul that she was carrying. Hardly a weekends supply!!!!!!!!!!!

There have been no executions since 2008 so maybe they feel that they need to set a precedence as a deterrent to others who would flout their strict laws on drugs.j.m.o.
