RE: Should Lance Armstrong be banned from the sport for life and face jail for drugs and fraud

I personally don't think you can compare the two just because it involves drugs.

One was peddling drugs ,the other was peddling under the influence of drugs.

Bali is know to have strong views on drug smuggling, and we are not talking about a couple of ounces, over 4 kilos !

It would appear that there are mitigating circumstances regarding this woman, but at the end of the day she will end up with years in prison. A living death in other words.

RE: EU

Hi Redexwave

Good thread.

We all need each other to a certain degree, but sometimes it feels like take over bid and we have lost out identity to a certain degree.

Our laws should be subject to our own interpretation, not dictated to by outside interference, along with other social and financial issues such as immigration.

I personally think if it goes to a general vote, we may well be leaving.

dunno

RE: what have you found here

I'm here to pass the time and take an interest in other people from different walks of life.

Some really lovely people here, but there seems to be a lot of anger with others.

Probably what makes the World go round. Wouldn't do if we were all the same .handshake

RE: The Tax People Are Gonna Get Ya!!

For a bloke living out of the UK you sure as hell take a lot of interest in your homeland.

Hope you aren't waiting for a British pension or are you moving back to live on Benefitsrolling on the floor laughing

RE: How often are you misunderstood on CS

Take it on the chin ladyhug

You and I have "clashed" for want of a better word over the Gun Laws ,and I've been misunderstood on many occasions. laugh

I've always stated in these debates it's not our country ,so not for us to say what goes down.

Unfortunately this subject causes people to get hot under the collar where children are concerned. This gets people's backs up ,and then the fights startboxing

Americans have a nasty habit of throwing the Royals into the pot at every opportunity. I say don't knock what you don't understand. It's our country ,our choice.

People are entitled to an opinion, and we as posters need to consider that. It may well differ from our own, but that's no excuse to go bad mouthing that person or indeed their country.j.m.o

RE: First Cousins Marry

Agreedthumbs up

I may not always agree with a poster, but politeness costs nothing.

Insulting a woman on a public forum shows ignorance, especially when the OP has posted a questionable comment!

RE: First Cousins Marry

Bit below the belt matescold

From what you posted there's only one stupid person .

Linking Liz and Philip in with a thread about 1st Cousins marrying makes you the idiot!laugh

RE: First Cousins Marry

Your thread mate not mine! Don't take much thinking about from where most people are sitting.

You cocked up.yay

RE: First Cousins Marry

Now that's as clear as mud mate.

How can the Royals be an example when they are 3rd. cousins.

Think it's more than Kentucky that's confused.doh

RE: First Cousins Marry

Good question. Think the Op has gone for a cuppa. Might enlighten us all when he comes back.laugh

I'd duck too as it seems he has it in for people North of the Watford Gapyay

RE: First Cousins Marry

Yeh well coming from Greece I guess you would be anti Royal.

Me, I say live and let live. Plenty other things wrong in the World without worrying yourself over something you have no control over.

Now the Euro that DOES worry me!

RE: First Cousins Marry

You need to read this.

Especially the fact that 1st and 2nd. marriages account for 10% of marriages throughout the World.

RE: First Cousins Marry

You can Google anything these days.laugh

RE: First Cousins Marry

Hello Ccincy

British history is just that . Some good, some bad, some diabolical.

Why someone would feel the need to post a thread about first cousins then discuss the Royal Family is beyond me.

confused

RE: First Cousins Marry

For someone who seems to profess his loyalty to the U.K you sure do like stirring.

What the hell are you trying to imply.sigh

RE: First Cousins Marry

Hells bells I sincerely hope not.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: First Cousins Marry

Kissing cousins maybe!laugh

Unless you want to go back over 4 Centuries to the Tudor period.

RE: First Cousins Marry

Got nothing to do with Royalty or any elite form of Society. 1st. and 2nd. cousins marriages account for 10% of the World's marriages.

RE: First Cousins Marry

You forgot to mention that they are 3rd Cousins. So what is your pointdunno

RE: 47 States Revolt Against Obama Gun Laws

Which makes other Americans question gun control in America surely.

What was a mother of a mentally unstable son doing with 5 guns in the house, and teaching him how to use them. Seems like the mother needs some kind of therapy too.doh

RE: New York Writes New Gun Law Since The Tradegy That Killed Children and Teachers

No we don'tscold

I know of a young lad of 21 came home from Afghanistan with both legs and an arm blown off, along with the lower part of his jaw! He's doing well in case you are interested.

War is not the topic on this thread is it! Unless you a referring to the internal war going on in America.

RE: 47 States Revolt Against Obama Gun Laws

From Wiki Self-defense

Acting in self-defense or in defense of another person is generally accepted as legal justification for killing a person in situations that would otherwise have been murder. However, a self-defense killing might be considered manslaughter if the killer established control of the situation before the killing took place. In the case of self-defense it is called a "justifiable homicide". A killing simply to prevent the theft of one's property may not be a justifiable homicide, depending on the laws of a place.

Laws vary from country to country!
