I use color to differentiate my words from yours, not to make mine more important. As to whether I care about Obama having to pay taxes on medicaid, I don't, nor do I care about people who make a quarter of a million dollars a year. More power to them but I care a lot more about people who have to decide to either eat or take their medication because they can't afford to do both. Maybe if I made 250K a year I would be concerned but if I made that kind of money I still wouldn't care because I could afford to hire a good accountant to hide it like so many wealthy people do.
Would you care to substantiate this claim with sound logic instead of one liners and copy and pastes from some rightwing website? I gave you lots of reasons for my prediction, I would love to hear your reasons why he will lose to the Republican candidate. The GOP doesn't even have someone viable to run.

How they see themselves doesn't mean that is how they vote, I could be a hard core Repub but I wouldn't vote for Palin if you paid me.
President Obama is great orator Ooby, I will say that. But not sure how he is going to make the country believe he is a conservative or moderate. As I said, he doesn't have to. All he has to do is show up, the economy will correct itself, the wars will end, bad laws will be overturned, and he will walk to an easy victory in 2012. 2 govenors races does not mean much.

I really hate to burst the bubble of certain people who think the Republicans will regain power in this country but Barak Obama will be re-elected in 2012 and here's why. He took the oath of office on Jan 20 2009. on that date the DOW averaged 8100 it is now at 10,291 that is a rise of 2191 points. The foreclosure rate has dropped for the last 3 months. Initial claims just released this morning are 502K which is down from 515K last week. Continuing Claims are at 5631K down from 5770K last week. Every indicator of the health of the economy is pointing up. The disasterous presidency of GWB which put us in the hole we were in is finally turning around and by this time next year the recession he created will be gone and will be replaced with the biggest rebound and bull market this country has seen in decades. By the next presidential election the US will probably be out of Iraq and Afghanistan and the last "enemy combatant" will be out of gitmo, tried convicted sentenced or released and the prison there will probably be closed for good. By 2012, our healthcare system will be reformed. By 2012 George W. Bush will be viewed by most people as the biggest mistake the American voter has ever made and Barak Obama will be considered a hero who has earned a second term. In fact there will be millions of people in the US and especially around the world who would love to give him a 3rd term! That comes under the heading, "if it aint broke, don't fix it." Three years is plenty of time to undo the mistakes made by Bush during his 8 looooong years. A period when American citizens were locked up for years without trial or even seeing a lawyer. When Americans were being spied on by having the gov reading their emails and tapping their phone conversations. A period when corruption reached the highest branches of gov, the White House itself in the form of no bid contracts for Halliburton and big oil co's and pharmaceutical co's and insurance co's. When an incumbant president can buy the the head of the Federal Reserve and coerce him to lower interest rates to help him get re-elected the time has come to say enough is enough. And that is what America said in November 2008.
It's probably the best pic they have of themselves. It isn't very difficult to crop out people in a group picture, if I can do it, anybody can. Then too, if it's a woman proudly displaying a pic with her son it is imperative she says so in the caption.
I use to do stained glass and have added a pic of a mirror I made. This design has a certain church like feel to it. It is based on the "Golden Rectangle" (google it) a shape which is very pleasing to the human brain. It's of copper foil. I also made a little box which housed a clock I built which had digital number tubes and I even made the printed circuit board for it but my ex wife smashed it by stomping on it when I was at work because she was angry for some reason I can't even remember. It's funny but the reason for her anger has long faded but the image of that smashed clock which I toiled on for a 100 hours remains. It's ironic that she is the one who introduced me to stained glass, but was never able to construct a box complete with a hinged lid.
My son Steven told me there was a bike in the dumpster behind the reastaurant next to the Ponderosa and asked if we could go get it. I said sure so I drove over there and we walked back to the dumpster and fished out the bike. He was looking at it and started fiddling around with it trying to get the brake cables adjusted and such. I said lets do that at home. He said it'll just take a minute and went back to working on the bike. I said, I want to get outta here lets take it home and fix it. He said but all I have to do is something or other. I said no goddamn it lets get out of here I don't want to be here. So we left with the bike. On the way home I heard on the radio that some guy who was going on vacation or something was just shot not 50 feet from where we were. I was shaking like a leaf thinking that could've been me or my son. You know the feeling you get when somebody is watching you? I had that feeling that day very strong. I'm not embellishing this story at all. This guy is a serial killer.
RIZ, him and his young accomplice who he taught to shoot, had cut a hole in the trunk lid of a Chevy Caprice and by lowering the back seat they could lay in a prone position and shoot people through the hole in the trunk sight unseen the way one would shoot a game animal from a hunting blind. Some wannabe profilers were saying on TV that it must be a black guy or guys because he only shot white people. To confound the police they decided to shoot a black boy on his way to school. And you call me violent to want to see him get exactly what he did to so many innocent people?

I've had one for years though I only use it to knock down the heavy growth on my face to lessen the load on my electric shaver if I haven't shaved for over a week. That's a totally legitimate concern but from what I read a little competition in the healthcare insurance industry will force these big insurance co's to loosen up the stranglehold they have on the public. This is why they are paying millions to lobbyists and any politician they can corrupt to kill the public option. Medical insurance is the biggest scam there is in America, in fact the whole concept of insurance is a scam but that's another story.
Give me a break will ya? You can get the govt out of your life very easily, just send that Social Security check you get every month back to the govt. Then you'll be on your own. You'll be a full fledged member of the "Ownership Society". BTW, I'm going to bed.

As for Social Security going broke, you are parroting the BS put forth by the Bush Administration which was based on totally bogus numbers from the Cato Institute 2005 which is why Social Security was never privatized when Bush wasted 6 months of his 2nd term trying to kill social security. The reason drug coverage is costing Americans so much can also be traced to George Bush when he made a deal with the Canadian PM if he, Martin, would put a stop to exporting drugs from Canada to Americans, he, Bush, would lift the ban on importing Canadian beef. So you see, I've done a bit of research on these topics.

The House Republicans just released their version of health reform. It's a disaster -- so outrageous that Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has dubbed it the "Health Insurance Company Protection Act" -- but Republicans are arguing it's the key to real reform.
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says it would barely make a dent in most of our premiums, and could lead to higher premiums for older Americans. The New York Times reports that it doesn't stop insurers from refusing to cover you because of a pre-existing condition. The CBO's research shows that the GOP plan would likely cut the deficit by just $68 billion over the next ten years -- far less than the Democratic bill, which cuts the deficit by $104 billion over the same period. The CBO also estimates that under the Republican bill the number of uninsured Americans would actually increase to 52 million by 2019. And Politico writes that the Republican's so-called plan doesn't keep insurers from dropping you when you're sick -- it just makes them let you know that you're being dropped. The Democratic bill in the House is what America actually needs. It stops insurance companies from refusing coverage because of a pre-existing condition. It prevents them from denying you care when you get sick. It will help lower premiums for our families and businesses, and will cover 33 million more people than the Republican bill.
