Obama will win re-election in 2012 ( Archived) (198)

Nov 12, 2009 10:03 AM CST Obama will win re-election in 2012
I really hate to burst the bubble of certain people who think the Republicans will regain power in this country but Barak Obama will be re-elected in 2012 and here's why.
He took the oath of office on Jan 20 2009. on that date the DOW averaged 8100 it is now at 10,291 that is a rise of 2191 points. The foreclosure rate has dropped for the last 3 months.
Initial claims just released this morning are 502K which is down from 515K last week.
Continuing Claims are at 5631K down from 5770K last week.
Every indicator of the health of the economy is pointing up. The disasterous presidency of GWB which put us in the hole we were in is finally turning around and by this time next year the recession he created will be gone and will be replaced with the biggest rebound and bull market this country has seen in decades. By the next presidential election the US will probably be out of Iraq and Afghanistan and the last "enemy combatant" will be out of gitmo, tried convicted sentenced or released and the prison there will probably be closed for good. By 2012, our healthcare system will be reformed. By 2012 George W. Bush will be viewed by most people as the biggest mistake the American voter has ever made and Barak Obama will be considered a hero who has earned a second term. In fact there will be millions of people in the US and especially around the world who would love to give him a 3rd term! That comes under the heading, "if it aint broke, don't fix it."
Three years is plenty of time to undo the mistakes made by Bush during his 8 looooong years. A period when American citizens were locked up for years without trial or even seeing a lawyer. When Americans were being spied on by having the gov reading their emails and tapping their phone conversations. A period when corruption reached the highest branches of gov, the White House itself in the form of no bid contracts for Halliburton and big oil co's and pharmaceutical co's and insurance co's.
When an incumbant president can buy the the head of the Federal Reserve and coerce him to lower interest rates to help him get re-elected the time has come to say enough is enough. And that is what America said in November 2008.

Well, as I've observed politicians seem to be better at making new laws than removing old ones. But he's got his hands quite full at the moment so I'm sure he has a list of priorities to work from.
Hi conrad, I hope you're doing well.wave

That is why according to a gallup poll...today only 22% of the country see themselves being liberal.....35% seem themselves being
moderate.....and 42% see themselves being conservative.

President Obama is great orator Ooby, I will say that. But not sure how he is going to make the country believe he is a conservative or moderate.

But am sure these figures on the economy that the DEM helped to scuddle in 2008 will help his effort to move to the mid road right.

Hey Ooby.....did you hear that they are going to tax medicaide recepants? Yep in the house bill if you receive mediciade and have a income over $250K, they plan to tax you. Of course this is most of the elderly in the country. DEMs the party that loves you.....as you age into your Golden years.

Also those 38 DEM that voted against the House Health care bill...
are getting clobbered not by REP.....but by DEM liberal groups!
There are a lot of division in your party OOby.

Shift him mid road, Ooby and I can see him doing well. Keep him in the liberal left...with the make up of the country has shifted right.....he is one termer....but is young enough for a 2016 try.

How they see themselves doesn't mean that is how they vote, I could be a hard core Repub but I wouldn't vote for Palin if you paid me.

President Obama is great orator Ooby, I will say that. But not sure how he is going to make the country believe he is a conservative or moderate.
As I said, he doesn't have to. All he has to do is show up, the economy will correct itself, the wars will end, bad laws will be overturned, and he will walk to an easy victory in 2012. 2 govenors races does not mean much.

LOL I wish I made 250K! Quite frankly I couldn't care less for anybody making over 250K a year they damn sure don't need my sympathy. They probably don't even need medicaid.

That is, of course, unless we have a revolution first...a necessity IMO. Lots of people are extremely, and vocally, unhappy with both parties and how our country is being run. wine

Would you care to substantiate this claim with sound logic instead of one liners and copy and pastes from some rightwing website? I gave you lots of reasons for my prediction, I would love to hear your reasons why he will lose to the Republican candidate. The GOP doesn't even have someone viable to run.

Psalms 53:1 ¶<<To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David.>> "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God..."
comrad,God says that you are a fool, because you deny his existence.
You're uneducated ignorant opinion is of very little importance to God.
The amazing thing is this: inspite of your irrational, and completely illogical, denial of GOD's existance, he still loves you, and desires for you to repent and turn from your sins, and receive the gift of salvation that is only available in Jesus Christ. I challenge you to read the first three chapters of the Gospel of John in the KJV-Bible (or is that too much for your intellectual, pebble sized brain?)
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world (including you,Conrad), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
