Tried reading through all of the first post. When I got to the part where the muslims are still sniveling over a stupid speech in 2006, because they PERCEIVED it to be insulting, whether it actually was or not. Screw it. Most of what I do is done with the herbs I grow, so wouldn't post all of that, but after the war of the fleas, having a dog that is severely allergic and can't even handle one bite...
Along with all the other stuff, Borax powder on the carpets and all other porous surfaces possible, seemed to help a lot. And yeah, was getting so desperate I just left it on instead of vaccuming it up in an hour LOL Threw it all over the backyard during the dry weather too. Already tried the baking soda in the carpet, all those over the counter remedies, finally had to even get the poor guy meds from the doc for the infections he was getting (bites are like poison and from just one he was breaking out all over).
And ya know what? Helped when it came time to get my very pale beige carpets cleaned too LOL
Sorry but I think the OP is the paranoid one. Sure, war sucks, Bush has handled the thing so badly I can't imagine declaring any kind of "win" with him in charge no matter how you slice it. Always said we should just have bombed them from the air, turned it to dust, and done it again and again any time they acted up AGAIN. No need for so many of our guys to have gotten killed or injured. But I guess you have forgotten, our govt hasn't been listening to us for a very long time now. IF they had been working in our best interest we wouldn't have the issues with illegal immigrants, health care, education...that we have.
Well, everyone seemed to applaud the smoking bans, that caused many small businesses to close their doors. Supposedly for "health" reasons. Why would they care if these other businesses closed? Both smoking and obesity cause disease, and by now, science has proven obesity to actually cause more. Add in the fact that the number of smokers is declining while the number of obese seems to be skyrocketing, and all that fat is costing us more than the smoke.

The only time I have issue with the obese is when they are so rude and inconsiderate of others, like any other group. And that they are raising health care costs, and yeah, everybody is paying. Part of that reason for the jumps in the premiums etc. That I don't think is fair, and is probably why people are trying to make laws to try and at least curb this epidemic.
Sorry, but your posts sounds like you are the one worrying about how much you are going to get. Already said they are pretty much supporting them. Very disappointed that this was about taking care of parents and you are worried about YOUR being taken care of. So no, not going to answer your questions.
Bnatl, I do think, in this current time, that yes, if he is indeed muslim at heart, it is a concern. No, I am not saying that they are all evil, just that being trained to be "sleepers" like they are, very hard to trust, because you just can't tell which are the evil ones.
I just stopped in to see how the results of this poll were coming out. Must say, sure did like what I saw, and hope nobody is fibbing. Always makes my heart hurt to see those seniors who have no one, and what happens to some. Last Christmas we went to the senior centers close by and did a little show all dressed up and passed out presents. Kinda tried to make it for them like it is for kids, full of smiles and magic. Yes, we check with the nutritionist for special diets before we planned the menu. Will definitely be doing it again next year. And please, if you know of a senior who has no one, maybe you could be that someone, even once in a while. It really does make a difference in their lives.

Tampa, I think you misunderstood my post. I was not trying to say that all are, just that they have that policy (no merit increases) so there are MANY of them. A friend of mine worked for the govt here (and I can only comment on that, not what it is like working for the Canadian govt, and I am sure there are differences, like when you said it wasn’t that hard to fire there, and the reasons why they don’t, not the same here on that point). She was one of those you described as actually wanting to do good work and hussled her butt off to get it done. What she got for her efforts was to have the deadwoods dump their work on her as well, being harassed by the deadwood thinking her mission was just to make them look bad, as opposed to simply trying to keep the unit running while they sat there and watched. She got so fed up she finally resigned. They had to hire 3 people to cover the work load she had been doing. But every time raises had been passed out, these deadwoods usually got more, because of seniority. In the local schools, there was a teacher who got an award for doing such good work, and was then harrassed by her co-workers for it so much she relocated to another school. This BS is actually causing part of the decline in quality when the good ones get sick of taking the crap from the deadwoods who are so defensive in their guilt that they only see another as trying to "make them look bad" if they dare to do well. LOL and car salesmen do only get paid if the car sells. On the flip side, the guy who built the car that had the brakes go out in the first month, yeah, fire him.
The part I don't understand is why he calls himself black when he is no more so than his other racial half. Is he ashamed of the other half or what? Seems these days it is better to be mixed than just one thing, at least I think those who are diverse have more exposure to the different cultures even if it is only at home, so why would he only refer to himself as the one? Starlite, I always wonder how they determine who is black enough, or for that matter black at all. Like calling Obama black when he is no more that than another race. Sure seems like something that is VERY based on appearances alone the majority of the time. Start with BS like that and where does it stop? Do they have a color chart hanging on the wall in admissions that you hold your arm up to during the application process, to make sure you are the right shade for them? Well, if they are as hard to fire as govt employees that are total deadwood due to no merit increases (why bother working if they pay you just to sit there), then that alone is a problem. No one should feel so secure in their job that they think they can just stop doing it and still get paid. But this performance stuff, gets you crap like the WASL tests they had/have in WA (don't know about other states). Some kind of test they all take to see how well they are doing. Turned into where ALL the teachers cared about was this one test. For about 2 weeks the kids were practically pounded into the ground to study for it, and back to fighting and spit wads the rest of the year. If they are going to get paid by how well their students do, maybe if they just used a simple test on the first day, then again on the last, to see how far each student has progressed from taking their class.

I agree with you, except, the remarks about not doing jobs we consider beneath us. Simply isn't true. Sure, last hired gets the grunt work, just the way it is. Only reason why it SEEMS they do this work and others won't, is probably because so many of those jobs are the ones they steal when they get here. Can't even speak english and they sure aren't going into a very high level job, or one that deals with the public etc. And yes, it has already been proven, when they clear out the illegals, and make those job openings, Americans line up to apply for them.
