I do understand Your pride of Your children - though it was during very hard situations..
I try to figure out my moments of proudness.
When I gave birth to my daughter - I would not call myself proud, merely very grateful. It was one of the most wonderful experiences I`ve ever had!
My pride lies I guess more in those cases where I had very good results during my educational life. Like it was something I had worked more or less hard for - and then achieved something.
And finally I am proud because I still haven`t lost my optimism, though things haven`t worked out the way I wanted in several aspects of my life - I am really learning to change my perspectives in the moment - dramatically. I am proud that I did`nt quit!! :)
Oh yes -and when my stunning daughter comes walking towards me - I feel so proud to be her mother. The things she knows and says and do.... Amazing. Still very grateful too, since the day she was born
Take Your time - look around and post here on the forums..
Especially the forums is a good place to get to know people.
Browse the profiles You find interesting - send the interesting girl/woman a flower.
Don`t loose faith if not all responds to You - women here get a LOT of flowers and mails - it would be a fulltime job to answer all of them.
And then... One lucky day... Who said it could`nt be tomorrow ) She sends You a flower/mail or You send her a mail/flower and.... Please tell us the rest of the story
