I'm aware as to the existence of documented abises6of many religious leaders and members as well.
I am fighting for the exposure of these abuses. I was involved as a Parish leader of a big Cathedral in northern California and the Bishop whom we adored and loved was found guilty and still in prison as we speak. It was in early 90 when discovered and sentenced in late 90. A most despicable act. The poor victims were some of my friends children. All of my children were involved extensively as altar servers and thank God, the public awareness grew rapidly and put this evil act to a halt worldwide. With billion of dollars spent in fees and settlement.
The downside of course is the thin availability of priesthood applicants. Hopefully women will then be considered as priest and allowing them to marry. The solution I strongly recommend.

The reality of it is that there are hard cases of some who are pure evil in any walks of life as much as there's hard case of good. The truth is, if we take believing out of the factors in our lives, would it be better then?
Sergio, we can add anything that savors our hopes in being good. We definitely can incorporate that, but in literal meaning, sinners and depending on their sin, is relative to how it's done. Accidental sins are advised to not do it again. Contemplated and premeditated murders like terrorists are not in any category of my belief, is the same sin.
Iiby, be easy, there's more believers like us than not. Never mind that respect is the key. I respect those who choose not to believe as much as those who don't.
