If one doesn't understand a person, one tends to regard him as a fool. But if we all would be thinking alike, then no one would be thinking very much....
The bad part is when some start to believe that they outsmart other people by far....this is just pretty much fooling themselves.
If we'd be all that smart..then nobody would be working This actually came from my jewish neighbour when I was in my early 20th......he pointed that jewish people are just too smart to work hard.

Solitare, what do you mean by "abstractions in your head"? ..like surrealistic pictures? uncontrolled free mind that have no directions or reasons......like subconscious dream?

My personal impression only, as I've not been to Malta, would be that it kinda neat, cute, hot island....though it's got to feel a bit claustrophobic since an island is rather very small in size.
I suppose Malta has nice white sanded beaches , some very old historical monuments, not too much of a greenery. It probably has few fancy restaurants, most of homes have swimpools...I've heard that roads there are quite crowded and not in a good condition...People got to be fond of travel there.
Are there olives trees?....
Shopping malls?......
Enough jobs?.....of any kind
Good education system?.....Colleges?
Are fruit and vegetable fresh there?....variety?

I'd guess, since it's such a small community, everyone knows everyone? which can be good or bad depending on the situation.........

Some people live in the past, some in the future...and some in what's happening today, right this moment.
I'd only guess, that people who mostly live in their past are more inclined to have good amount of regrets. We live and learn, we make mistakes over and over again..okay, okay, some are learning from their mistakes and don't repeat them. In my case, I can only say: I try. Not to....
Regrets? they come and go....it's always better to live in the present and manage to do things right....so, we don't accumulate more while moving forward...........
Brooding over is the worst....we can't change our past, impossible task. We can only improve our future.
