I had experienced being jealous of a boyfriend who I was glad to be rid of him, then I saw him with a beautiful girl and they look happy. I was jealous because we never got there unfortunately.

Old fashioned ways

I would like to add a few other things.

How about building good character, respect, integrity, values, morals and ambition. Oh and chivalry as someone mentioned already.
