what made it worse it was the shool hamster and we were looking after it for the weekend, my daughter was 5yrs at the time, went back to school and told the teacher, bless her!
the support an advice i have had from the people on this site has been overwhelming, and bought me so much comfort. I can see my Dad is alone and scared and he is a proud and stubborn man he has spent his whole life pushing people away, despite the past i have an unconditional love for him but i don't like him, i am finding this hard to understand
My Father had mapped out my life for me . When i left home at 18yrs he told people i was dead and for 4yrs would not let my Mum contact me he didn't speak to me for 10yrs.
When my kids were 6yrs and 9yrs they went to stay with my parents for a weekend, they didn't like there dinner so they were sent to there room til the next day. They would never go there again. We fell ot because he wanted to control my life
Thank you everyone for your kind words, sitting here now quite tearful but feeling so relieved i have been able to share how i feel, and somehow stronger for when i contact my Father again. Sounds really stupid but he scared me as a child and still manages to do it to me now.
I found out by email tonight that my Mother is ill in hospital and it's not looking good. I called my Father(we haven't spoken for 5 yrs) he told me he didn't need me and i was no longer in his life. It's hurting like hell
I got a marriage proposal, from Pakistan, said he was really serious , needed to do it quickly, and answer me now i am waiting !! I'd never had and contact from him before !!
