I've seen cats do that with birds. I guess the hunt is like catch and release fishing. My roomate's dog is obsesed with the squirrels in the yard, she will chase with a vigor. However she is probably 80 lbs and a bit awarkward, she cant turn or run like a squirrel and there is not a chance in helll that she will catch one but she thinks otherwise.

I used to live in a house that had cats , one of the cats had kittens and the mother cat taught them to use the litter box she also taught them the cat door. We did not have to teach them anything. We did try to teach them not to bring living creatures into the house, but it did not take,,, I think they wanted to share the fun with the other cats.
One day I came home and there was a cat wondering about the neighborhood. It was a beautifull carmel simese. It wandered into our yard as I was entering the house, the pit/lab noticed her as I opened the door and charged at her barking and with a fever. The cat however just sat there unconcerned ,,, the dog had no idear what to do (cat is suposed to run then be chased , but cat just sat there), The pit sniffed and barked , but nothing,,,turns out that the cat was blind and deaf.
My roomate fed and watered it then left it with his vet for them to find its owner or a new one. (personaly I wanted to keep it but unfortunatly it would need more assistance then I would be able to give)

We have a pit bull lab mix that is infaxuated with a squirrel in the yard. It will never catch the squirrel , the dog just simply does not have the dexterity. The enthusiam is inspiring however, her eyes light up and there is a definite determination to succede that is daunted by a creature that can turn on a dime , chased by a dog that can not.
Several years ago I lived in a house that had ten cats. One night wile playing on my computer I noticed some movement on the side of my monitor, it was a mouse. I did not like the idear of a mouse in my room so I went downstairs and fetched a cat. I put the cat down and she snifed around and then turned to me and well of course cats dont speak but the look said " smells like a mouse , you should fix that'. So ten cats in the house but i'm the one chasing the mouse around my room, I did chase it , I could hear it here and there and moved furniture with bat in hand. I nener found the mouse but I did run it out of my room.
You can't get an exterminator to get rid of mice, perhaps your problem is not a problem (well perhaps scratching at your seats in the car could be bad but why is she doing that, it may mean that there are mice in your car or at least visiting your car)

We have a Chihuahua living in the border house that I live in. It will hunt the mice and rats that come in from the cannal that runs threw the back yard. There is somthing in his genetics that makes him do that , he is very efficent zelous and ruthless. For us it is not a problem , i'd rather a dead rat than a live one.
Your dog is probably proud of Her finding the rodent and is likely thinking that she is presenting you with gifts. Be flattered and if it is a problem then talk to your vet , maby you can train her to simply put them in the rubbish can. It is amasing what can be done with training. One of my past roomates had a cat that was trained to use the litterbox , I have no clue how they trained her but every time after she used it she would bounce downstairs in a psychotic glee that scared the smurf out of me.

There are problems now: kepone, DDT, steroids, and PVC's (plastics). This crap is in the food you eat right now. That is not mentioning all the added crap that is put in your food (you know,, the stuff on the label you can't pronounce). There is a problem, for years we thought the ocean was vast enough that we could use it as a toilet, but its not that big. There is a dead zone in the golf of mexico from phosphers runoff. there are also trash heaps the sise of texas in the pacific and atlantic ocean. There are frogs dieing in Africa from birthcontrol in the water(do they use birthcontrol drugs in Africa?)
Farm fish are usualy pumped full of steroids and antibiotcs to protect the harvest and investment. I would not clasify that as eatable (that wich is in them is what you eat).
Most countrys only claim control of 100 miles (beyond their coast)of the ocean (I think china claims 200). That area is controled by most countrys and enforced a little. Our oceans are being over fished, tainted, abused and if you are familiar with the 'great trash heap' or the pacific version of that then you'll know that our oceans are in grave danger.

The answer is not a drug... the problem is a drug. Actually the problem is about 300 drugs (thats what is in a cigarette).

There are holistic and cognitive even hypnotic solutions. When my father quit he replaced the habit with gum, candy and walking, 20 years ago (he is still smoke free,,,,and in shape).
LSD (acid) and THC (marijuana) work by manipulating the neurons in the brain, do you really want to manipulate your brain? (you can't get a new one). A friend of mine was prescribed a drug that the drugs side effect was a cure for her problem, the drug was created for Parkinson's patients. She took the drug, it almost killed her and now she is screwed up for life.
There is a book that claims that 'by the time you finish reading the book you will have quit without any side effects or regrets. It was written by someone that used to work for the FDA and focuses on the things that the tobacco industry does'nt want you to hear. ..However you must read the book.
In my own opinion, take is as you wish but subsatuting one drug for another or using the patch is not the answer but just another industry taking advantage of you and another organ that is put in danger. Drug companys are not very differnt than the drug pusher on the corner, to them it's just business.

I have heard that Wd-40 was originaly a product designed to seal distribiter caps from moisture, and is an oil that will not conduct electricity. However i'm not sure if that was just the original idear or if what is on the shelfs have those characteristics.
It sounds fine to me, even logical that either country might need trained troops for an emergency. Yet not have keep a reserve on detainer. Also because of the war in Iraq our troops are spread thin, and recruitment is down. As for keeping it quiet, i'm sure there are much worse things being kept quiet.
