But who are all the people who come over? is it a BBQ party? Don't get me wrong it sounds great but that's a huge undertaking and doesn't it cost you a packet?
Like most people i could probably do more. I don't have a car though(don't need one) and make a point to put the right stuff in the recyclable goods bin, but that's about it
Climate alarmism is a cult, co-opted by political forces who for years now have been losing relevance. No one 'denies' climate change, but what most people do deny is that we should should trust and give over large swathes of our hard earned income to governments who promise they'll fix it all. They won't fix it. They'll just line their own pockets like always and tell us how amazing they are, and all the while mother nature will keep doing her thing regardless.
That's not to say promoting environmental responsibility is a bad thing. It's most certainly a good thing. And it need not involve taxation. The majority of people want to be more environmentally responsible so naturally companies and corporations who act in a more environmentally friendly way are becoming more popular. Also, and most importantly of all, each person is a consumer. We consume. How we consume dictates what is produced, and the environmental impact that follows. Changing our consumption habits definitely makes a difference. Each of us has the power of our own choices. It would be a good idea to educate everyone on how they can live in a more environmentally friendly way, whether that means cutting down on electrical devices or ditching the smartphone, or if it's feasible use public transport or travel by bicycle instead of owning a car. Teach people to grow their own food - reducing packaging waste. And i'm sure there's lots more that can be done besides. But it has to be done positively and importantly the choice lies with the consumer. Trying to force change on people and/or radically increasing taxes will only lead to resentment and civil tension.
Positivity is needed. Not government stealing your money and pretending to play God..
