The world is facing a clear and existential threat - a climate emergency. That's the stark warning by a global group of 11,000 scientists.
They say the climate crisis is accelerating faster than most scientists expected. It's closely linked to wealthy lifestyles and excessive consumption.
Their report gives simple and immediate steps that could make a difference. They recommend people must eat less meat, emissions must be cut and fossil fuels replaced.
Without action, they warn, large areas of Earth could become uninhabitable.
But scientists say there is hope and the global protest movement can bring change.
So, will governments and world leaders listen to these latest warnings?
But sit back and wait,
Because it is too late already nothing we can do now wil save te earth.

The Earth will probably be fine! It's us humans who will become extinct! But WE are not the Earth! The Earth will be just fine without us. Same can't be said of us humans without the Earth

Exactly selinite, you have an instictive intelligence, I would rather say I was wrong, than they were wrong, but it's too late now anyway. We will be dead beforeit happens, but what about our kids, i don't want to gamble with their future.
I was amazed how many young people are actively demonstrating in favour of what will be their planet.
Rogerandout: Not at all. I just think it's a bit naive to put up such a sensitive subject, when there's so many sensitive people here who like to avoid controversy
Oh it isa sensitive subject here's your chance to put your point of view
Did you know that in the South of Spain there is a type of pine tree called Pinsapo only found in a couple of places in the world and one of the oldest of the planet. Their position was preserved during the last ice age and their micro climate habitat kept them from being destroyed. They are now a protected species ...

Selenite: Are you doubting climate change or the cause of climate change?
Over Thirty years of scientific studies billions upon billions spent, yet still the best they can come up with is "there seems to be some evidence that human activity is responsible" do I believe scientists who's whole careers depend on climate change exciting. Who shoot down anyone who dares challenge them, if their science was fact They would happily have it ridiculed. After all the facts would speak for themselves and prove doubters wrong. Buy they don't do that they silence anyone who dares challenge them. So no I don't believe it
