Selenite: Did you know that in the South of Spain there is a type of pine tree called Pinsapo only found in a couple of places in the world and one of the oldest of the planet. Their position was preserved during the last ice age and their micro climate habitat kept them from being destroyed. They are now a protected species ...
Rogerandout: Over Thirty years of scientific studies billions upon billions spent, yet still the best they can come up with is "there seems to be some evidence that human activity is responsible" do I believe scientists who's whole careers depend on climate change exciting. Who shoot down anyone who dares challenge them, if their science was fact They would happily have it ridiculed. After all the facts would speak for themselves and prove doubters wrong. Buy they don't do that they silence anyone who dares challenge them. So no I don't believe it
I get what you mean!
What about geo-engineering?
Because there seems to ben extreme changes in weather patterns in some parts of Europe that I witness myself...
Climate alarmism is a cult, co-opted by political forces who for years now have been losing relevance. No one 'denies' climate change, but what most people do deny is that we should should trust and give over large swathes of our hard earned income to governments who promise they'll fix it all. They won't fix it. They'll just line their own pockets like always and tell us how amazing they are, and all the while mother nature will keep doing her thing regardless.
That's not to say promoting environmental responsibility is a bad thing. It's most certainly a good thing. And it need not involve taxation. The majority of people want to be more environmentally responsible so naturally companies and corporations who act in a more environmentally friendly way are becoming more popular. Also, and most importantly of all, each person is a consumer. We consume. How we consume dictates what is produced, and the environmental impact that follows. Changing our consumption habits definitely makes a difference. Each of us has the power of our own choices. It would be a good idea to educate everyone on how they can live in a more environmentally friendly way, whether that means cutting down on electrical devices or ditching the smartphone, or if it's feasible use public transport or travel by bicycle instead of owning a car. Teach people to grow their own food - reducing packaging waste. And i'm sure there's lots more that can be done besides. But it has to be done positively and importantly the choice lies with the consumer. Trying to force change on people and/or radically increasing taxes will only lead to resentment and civil tension.
Positivity is needed. Not government stealing your money and pretending to play God..
Rogerandout: Why put up a thread, when you have no knowledge of the subject
Is that really the accepted criteria! Don't put ip a thread unless you have knowledge on the subject?
Just that there seem.to be quite a few threads on women or relationships for example ... by people who seem to have very little knowledge on the subject

It's been happening all over Andalucia these last few years! Devastating floads with homes and infrastructure destroyed and people injured or killed... And of course it also destroys crops for which they needed the water but which are now too damaged to be of any use

Like most people i could probably do more. I don't have a car though(don't need one) and make a point to put the right stuff in the recyclable goods bin, but that's about it

At last a reasoned approach and argument, thankyou foryour support.
I drink a lot of water everyday and buy it in bottles of 101.4 ounce plastic bottles. I save the bottles and once a month I take them to the recycle center. That's a lot of plastic bottles.
I also use a cloth grocery bag. Sometimes I make a quick stop at the store and have to use a plastic bag. Unfortunately, plastic bags aren't recyclable. That doesn't make sense to me. Maybe Chancer knows why.
