Dumped by text message wouldn't be a lot of fun, it's a pretty lousy way to go about it! I think the silent, pretend it never happened dumping even manages to be classier.
Oh alright so, I've given up drinking (which is why I still haven't finished that one ) so you can finish it for me. 'Twas a good one though, fresh from the microbrewery we were at.
That's great, I think I'll change the tagline on my profile: "Forget Discover Ireland, Discover Me!" I'll get a backing track for my profile as well so it'll be just like the Bord Failte ads :)
I just don't see it as humourous, I see it as a snide jab trying to use the 'oh it's just a joke' defence. I'm not going to argue that women get nasty posts aimed at them, you don't have to look far to find them at all. That's no justification though. Is it that wrong of me to feel unhappy that the male-bashing has gone into overdrive the past couple of days?
Maybe all the guys on here should take a week or two away from the forums while some of the ladies work this I-hate-men/what's-wrong-with-men/where-are-the-men-I-can't-find-the-search-function thing out?
Oops, may have confused people - I'm in Canada (Edmonton) at the moment - weather has been a bit freaky the past week or so. Apparently, the weather back in Galway is lovely at the moment. Strange these things happen when I travel. I don't think it's any coincidence that the rating on my photo at the moment is 6.66
In defence of those of us who are sarcastic, I would say that sarcasm isn't always directed at a person. I'd generally also only be sarcastic towards or about a person when I'm in company I know is comfortable with that sort of humour.
How could you not love the weather here eh? It's Spring and one day there's beautiful highs of 24C .. then two or three days later it's snowing and there's 20cm of snow ... erm .. hang on .. :)
RE: is this a irish site or what
