The way I see it is this....they all failed as parents to ensure their kids did what it takes in order to get into college/university like study and home work habits.....then they expected to be able to buy their childs way in rather than live with the obvious fact that it was their responsibility as parents in the first place and they failed miserably.....
its keeps my brain cells firing and from turning to mush.....I enjoy having a few laughs and all the different directions it takes my mind and thoughts.....
I think love is just love whether its returned or not....having to have it returned is an attachment....and letting go is the best way to deal with that....would I ever stay in a relationship that was one sided tho? no because that's not being loving to myself.....a shared mutual love is what I would like that happens because we both choose it and each other.....
