Bellanna: Do you get impolite messages on dating sites?
I noticed some very funny thing happening.
I get a message from a man from another country and I don't reply (as stated in my profile).
(I used to reply with "Thanks, but no thanks", but men mostly understood "no" as "maybe" so I would get myself into explaining why I don't want a long-distance relationship over and over again. In the end I decided it was better to ignore such messages altogether.)
And then - something funny started to happen. I get a message - usually one sentence only - "hi, how are you", "hi, beautiful" and so on, I don't reply and after a couple of hours I get a message from the same man - some really nasty and offensive type of a message.
Does this happen to you to?
This scares me, because it shows that there are a lot of abusive men on dating sites and that you might not even know that if you are nice to them - maybe before it's too late. Pretty dangerous, isn't it?

I think so. I read this complaint all the time from women, but never from men. At any rate, these correspondents are scarey and absolutely nuts, and should be reported, blocked and removed.------ This thread is Archived ------
