I've been where you obviously wasn't Fit in... Nope, I don't want to fit in anymore, it's better for my sanity. That's why I work alone, do not allow anyone in home and have no friends but only acquintances.
No. I'm just here to pass time and have a little distraction from whatever I happen to be doing. I'm not interested in knowing who has the most whatever and I certainly don't think the forum is pissing contest.
There are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Humans are omnivores but we have a choice to give our body everything it needs to sustain itself or take the high mighty holier-than-thou road and not give the body a portion of what it needs... Vegetarians make the latter choice and, as far as I'm concerned, that's their business, their life and their bodies... But the line stops at my choices and my body. I draw the line from the time the vegans try to cram their beliefs down my throat. All those vegans protesting meat and threatening the lives and livelihood of farmers and butchers are, to me, nothing but anti-democratic bullies and tyrannical ideologues.
I'll eat meat if I want to. I'll hunt it if I want to and I'll eat it with vegetables and mushroom sauce if I want to. If vegans don't like it well that's too bad. "Don't cram your beliefs down my throat." We've heard that from everyone who is anti-christian for decades. It's about time they apply the same concept to themselves.
I'd say the first choice: 18 - 23 They tend to be less bitter at that age and more agreeable, more outgoing and less criticizing, less controlling and more sympathetic, more energetic and less nagging, less demanding and more understanding... Just better all around. Past 23, it's better to humor them and keep them at arm's length if you value your buying power, your private parts and your freedom.
"Zoos provide an educational resource. A zoo provides a protected environment for endangered animals. Zoos can provide a place for the humane treatment of rare animals. Zoos can also be an economic resource for a community."
Anymore... It's hard to compare what used to be and what is, now. We live in a totally different world from barely 20yrs ago. It sucks but we have to make do with it because the only other choice is to complain and you know how far that gets you.
OH God ! I'd never want to kill anyone while defending myself or another. That's aweful and, most of the time, not needed, even when there's gunplay involved.
I do imagine the Scotts to be down to earth and friendly. I'd visit Scotland way before I'd consider visiting England.
And you're right about the French, they're a proud and haughty lot and their hospitality is lacking in many areas. But they'll tell you what they think in your face without beating around the bush and I appreciate that.
It depends on the situation, the agressor and the weapon used. Of course, any decent thinking person would not wade into the fray regardless of the circumstances or who is agressive. There are rules for Self Defense, too. A decent human being would and should not shoot an unarmed man or woman...
This thread, though, is about being assaulted or having your b/f - g/f assaulted in front of you... Would you intervene or would you say "Ooops, sorry, I'm against violence so you're on your own, see you later, I'm outta here..." ?
Their bodies, their choice. Whether they want to keep the baby or not is none of my business but that of the mother and...well, that of the mother, period. The father can go spit
What is strangely funny is that they discovered some microscopic microbes on a rock in outer space and called it "life" but they argue that a foetus, with millions of cells, isn't a life... How are you going to argue with that...? You can't. It's moronic.
And I appreciate it It's been my experience that witnessing out in the real world was much more constructive than online too. Nowadays, brother, I'd only witness to someone willing to listen with an open mind who has interesting and engaging questions. Those are few and far between.
