RE: Animals have no soul....!

Thanks, Pedro.
I wrote part of it and knew exactly what I wanted to appear on the post so I had help from Wikipedia and a couple of other sites... that's why you see the ???? where hebrew and greek words are supposed to be.
I've always been good at research. I used to do the work when internet didn't exist and had to peruse hundreds of books in libraries to get to the bottom of things and obtain answers that satisfied my inquisitive mind.
I figured, if my being is on the line, if my place in eternity is at stake, well, I better get some real answers so I searched and searched until my heart was satisfied. I wasn't going to put my eternal life in the hands of others. It's my responsibility to get answers and know because when I finally get in front of God "he told me" is not going to be a defense.
cheers

RE: 11 Causes Of Rudeness

I guess that observation wasn't so careful.
People can also be rude because they are fed up of how they're given the run-around or because they're being harassed or because they perceive injustice against them or a loved one or simply because someone gets rude with them.

I love the way they always run to "deeply insecure" or "low self-confidence" ( which comes from insecurity anyway so that's saying the same thing twice with different words ) That's classic put-everyone-in-the-same-bag lazy psychology bordering on pseudo-psychology.
And I particularly like the " lack of understanding about human behavior" laugh Psycho-babble.

"How people treat others is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves" is sometimes true but is not a rule of thumb. It's much more complicated than that.

Hey Pedro wave How are you today? cheers

RE: How do your respond to threats?

There're two ways humans respond to danger: fight or flight.
I'm rather in the group that fights. Tucking tail and running just isn't me.

The problem with tucking tail and running is that now you're known as someone who'd rather not defend himself and by doing so you multiply the jerks that'd come after you for BS reasons just because they know you'd run. Next thing you know they take your lunch, you money and then your girlfriend.

When you stand up for yourself and fight, it lets everybody know that if they want your lunch/money/girlfriend then they're going to lose feathers in the process and even come out of it beat.

Never run. Call their bluff and if they're not bluffing then at least you still have your dignity intact.

RE: What do you do if someone doesn't like you?

RE: What do you do if someone doesn't like you?

Don't think of people who don't like you, don't let them live in your head for free. Expel them.
Life's too short to waste your time thinking about people who only want you to be sad.
Think about people who made you laugh, people who love you and people who have delt with you respectfully or kindly.
The rest is just a monkey-brain exercise that will lead you to places you don't want to be.
hug cheers

RE: What do you do if someone doesn't like you?

I know when someone doesn't like me within a few minutes. Don't have to say or do anything, I feel it.

What to do?
If you don't have any choice but to deal with the person, all you can do is pretend you don't know it or mind it and deal with the person like you'd do with a cop: respect. Don't have to like her/him.
If you have the choice, ignoring and removing yourself from the person's presence is wise.
There are many reasons why someone wouldn't like you and oftentimes you don't have to have done anything to that person. Some will project their inner hate on you, some will juxtapose another person who've hurt them with you and treat you like you were them and others are simply jealous.
Jealousy is a very dangerous thing. Stay away from jealous people, they will make your life hell.

RE: The Most Memorable Date

Unlike many women for whom a "date" is the opportunity for a free meal - - many men ( if not all ) date for the opportunity to spend the rest of their lives with the person they go on a date with.
I can only express opinion from the point of view of a man, not a woman.
I understand that for many women dating is a big game where they have many advantages. Of course, most women are the recipients in a date and most will not even go on a date if they are expected Dutch it.
It's different for men but who cares about that, right?

RE: The Most Memorable Date

I don't think about the past, I'm in the present and I like to look to the future.
If a date didn't bring a lasting relationship then the date was a mistake as far as I'm concerned and mistakes are to be understood, corrected if possible and we move on.
Because of that... thanks to that, I hardly remember any of the past dates but for maybe a couple.
Sometimes having a bad memory is a blessing in disguise.

RE: How many angels is there out there?

There are more angels than there are stars in the universe. Literally a "multitude" and "legions".
A complete Roman legion comprised 10, 000 when including the auxilaries. Notice the 'S' at legions.

For starters, each and every living human being has two angels assigned to them. That's nearly 9 billion right there. And NO they are not "guardian angels" but serve as witnesses for/against the individual person.

Then there are the angels whose duty is to worship the living God day and night with praises and songs.

Then there are angels whose duty is to play music in the higher realms. Their boss used to be Lucifer ( an Archangel ) until he rebelled against God his master. I know not which angel took the place of that traitor.
There are also angels-messengers whose duty it is to make relay between our realm and God's realm.

Then there is a legion of angels serving/worshipping the Son of God and every prophet that ever existed also has his own legion of angels.

"Seven angels or archangels correspond to days of the week: Michael (Sunday), Gabriel (Monday), Uriel (Tuesday), Raphael (Wednesday), Selaphiel (Thursday), Raguel or Jegudiel (Friday), and Barachiel (Saturday)"
Those are Archangels, leaders of their own legions of angels and the big boss of those is Michael.

Then there are angels I've never read about or heard about and lord only knows what they do and who they're supposed to serve.

Finally, there are legions of angel-traitors who willed to follow the chief-traitor. We know them as "demons" or Jinns and they serve their new master Satan aka Lucifer aka the father of lies aka the lion who devours aka Shetan aka the prince of darkness aka the deciever...

RE: Any dates on Connecting Singles

Sure. Culture plays a big role in family affairs.
My mother-in-law is still alive and still loves me like I was her own son. She sent me lots of stuff when I was in jail and showed up at my 20-minute trial in a wheelchair even though she's sick, old and week.
She's THE most decent woman I've ever met. Equal with my own mother.
I have good convos with my kids' mother and we been clearing out quite a few misunderstandings.

In other countries and other cultures it would not have happen the same way.

RE: painted bird

Painted Bird eh? Alright, I'll check it out wow

RE: Any dates on Connecting Singles

No, we just had very different experiences.
I think the way your family dealt with in-laws and stuff is the exception, not the rule.
