Social media, especially forums like this....where you can be anything you want to be..makes many people keyboard warriors...They can say whatever they want or do anything with no consequences...
Don’t take it personally...I consider it very immature myself.
And, it shows your mom did a good job raising you...I have never thought of you as think you are self-important...If anything, your posts always uplifting and always make me smile.
