Common sense tells us that the Democratic Party does not have their constituents best interest’s in their agenda, by pushing this man to run for office. He has had a stroke and his chances of having another one are very high in the first year. Why would a party not be humane and let the man bow out gracefully? Most of all, shame on his wife for allowing him to take on the added physical and mental stress in this time. As a wife, she is not protecting him...Makes me think, she wants the power...you know, fill his shoes, if he is unable to fulfill his term.
Very hard to watch...the party of empathy...is really the party that will gaslight and twist things..if it means remaining in power.....
I am looking forward to the music...and, decorating my home....
I have been looking at decorations for the yard in the stores...I gave all of mine away when I moved... Said, I would never decorate outside again...Never say never...
We finally had some cooler weather here...A very nice change...
The local governments’ of the barrier islands in my county, turned the water off...and, made mandatory evacuations in Zone A and B.....still, some stayed...we did not get the storm surge that was expected... Nor, did we get a direct hit.
People live where they want to live....and, they take those risks.
I have a two-year old home...hurricane windows, tile roof, and built to hurricane code....I spent the first half of the storm watching from my front porch....the wind was howling..I couldn’t hear the wind inside.
I never lost electricity...I do have underground utilities...
I was thankful that I had a place for my family to feel safe...One of the many reasons I built where I did build.
Also, had great neighbors who moved my big patio furniture into my garage for me before the storm...Just rang my bell and said we are here to move your furniture...
One palm tree went down in my backyard...I came home from work on Friday to it being replanted with braces...
I feel a bit guilty that my community was spared the brunt of the storm....
Politics do not belong in a time of devastation for so many...
