Americans have been fleeing the US for decades....hence the reason why you're passport is now so weak and also why every American abroad has to delcare their bank account to american revenue..in fact, most, if not all banks will specifically ask if you're American when setting up your account, they will then notifiy US revenue...that comes from decades of Americans leaving the US...
And a country with a stronger working class and sizeable wealthy elite will always survive longer and better than a country with a strong middle class...middle class are usually too lazy to work as hard as the working class and too stupid to know how to get to being part of the wealthy elite....middle class are just a buffer zone to keep the rich and poor seperate as well...far more working class make it to being part of the wealthy elite because the middle class have investted too much time, effort and energy in getting their degree then spent more years getting to their managerial job with a modicum of power... to waste it on entreprenurial endeavours and the hard work that goes with it....

As an unbiased spectator, it's the divisions, and the divisions within divisions, that no one seems to notice at all. It's as though everyone has their own set of beliefs/expectations/demands or whatever you want to call them...and whomsoever disagrees, evens slightly with those believes is suddenly the enemy and has to be torn down. And everyone is trying to shout louder than the next person...no one seems to be listening at all.

Here in ireland, our two main parties have worked together for years and have agreed to a second term, and they may not be perfect, but they can sit down, discuss and arrive at a decent agreement ...they're not slinging mud at each other...or trying to really hurt each other...destroy their careers, their lives and their familes...as happens every time in the US when there's a new presidential election....so Ireland and the Irish can now go on with life , forget about the government, but we do keep an eye on them though..
But you Americans seem too absorbed in how great ye are, what a great country you are, how everyone looks up to you and adores you and ye seemed convinced everyone wants to be you..I'm sorry, but you are badly badly wrong. What ever happens it's certainly going to be interesting. I imagine it's going to hurt a lot of ordinary people too. e.g. small businesses, the agri and tourism sectors, not to mention Scotland and N.Ireland not being too happy about being dragged out of the EU....England could well find itself increasingly isolated as the years progress...
Whatever happens it's not going to hurt the wealthiest ...or their off shore accounts and/or trust funds....
