israeli gov. pay massive money for new settlements . in fact the closser to the pallestinian boundry or population you build the bigger the incentives, their drainage plans in such areas are designed to exhaust the under ground aquifers(water beds) and to re-route them into new settlements and away from other areas i.e. gaza west bank areas too... fact i`m afraid.. its a slightly under-hand way of causing hardship and also saying"" hey look what we have""...

not sure on this... but did the new state of israel annex the sinai..part of eygpt at the time and occupied it as it was only desert? think so.. 100s of eygpt tanks were ahniliated by israel airforce after a airbases in eygpt destroyed their airforce on a muslim holy day? remem roughly reading that... the golan heights was where the syrians were driven back. but then the israelis didn`t stop and went into the golan(syrian terr,) annexed it then in 80`s i think. and is now israel occupied as is west bank and gaza, with some pallestinian autonomy?
