sounds to me like she`s obviously met another!one that in her mind is a better catch or one she thought was outta her league,but is now interested... the "out of the blue" decision would hint towards either of these...imo.. either way he is best away as she is portrayin shades of shallowness and callowness!! now i am guessing her reasons here!! but that said..it all points in that direction.. best solution for your mate is to do or go to that/do the one thing/place he always wanted,but never got round to..ie. parachute jump maybe?? and keep finding ways to spend time differently,especially the time he`d normally be spending with her!...imo
