the too drugs are not comparrable on simple chemical bassis... heroin is addictive on a neurological level which leads addicts to being totally convinced of its power and worth... coke is more of an endorphinated drug...
as for the the reasoning on the society i picked? well its this... at five or ten euro as an introductory offer(which it is!) heroin is open to those of lesser means or poverty,fact.. but the addiction is progressive at an enormous rate ..leading to 200 euro a day habit as the norm..hence the crime needed to keep habit going.
i`m in no way trying to be condesending, but it is a subject i have experience of and have learned alot about... that being said..on a side track, please support the campaigns to get the hse to give the funding back to the hardest hit areas of all those well known organisations trying to educate and help./.
the fact of the matter is that this drug is introduced into early teen impressionable impoverished soceity mostly.. the victims(and they are victims) are too young and peer pressured into starting...the fact that yrs down the road might make them steal,fight,bite...indeed anythin to feed their habit is not to be lost on the innocence they lost as kids... if you keep that in mind you inevitably reach to conclussion""they never had a chance!""
if this is realised, then you must agree that the solution is at the start... when their young, not by slamming them onto metadone and clinic lines... percent success is low...
but just like any education...get them young and the success rate is much much greater...jmo mind!!
and is it sad??? yes...for ev victim,family member,community at large..
