Excellent Post!! And with health insurance premiums going up 3 times faster than inflation, its a scary!!! But change is coming...whew!! I can't wait! I have a pre-existing condition and I am uninsured because I can't afford over $500.00 a month. Sucks when you have to make a choice over health care and food, rent etc.

It is entirely possible to have a meaningful, polite, debate or discussion without being disrespectful, rude or hurting someone's feelings. There is often far to many personal attacks on here!

I explained my personal attack on Alfalfa because he brought out the mama bear in me and he attacked me first. I am not proud of that but it happened!but I am pretty sure he can fight his own battles!! Nice that coming from a psychiatric background you call their patients nuts!! That is an terrible awful thing!! I would expect a little more compassion!! I am a member of the OFA..organizing for America...I have not attended any tea parties yet, but I have attended various other events!! I will also be working on the at a booth at our county fair, registering voters and addressing health care reform. I am involved with my students in a bi-partisan group where we discuss issues of both sides. I am from a predominately Republican community and have worked with many of them on bi-partisan issues concerning our community. I also volunteer for our local parks and rec center to help keep gangs off the street! I worked on the Obama campaign and registered local voters....ummmmm I am a member of national partnership for women & families which is also a bi-partisan organization!! Most of my work is bi-partisan...coming together is how we reach common ground!! If McCain would have won this election, you certainly would not see me bashing him!!! The country made it's choice!!

Not one place in the bill does it say that illegal immigrants would be covered. Even John McCain and other Reps came out and said that today along with commenting how inappropriate Wilson's actions were!! I have concerns about the Bill too, but that's why would should come together and find a resolution instead of resorting to bashing and rudeness!!

Please....I only got testy with Alfalfa after he called me a parent that didn't care about my children because of my political choice...that is over and done! Every link you have given me is from a conservative site...every single one!!! When have I ever called you names or spoke to you about anything other than the issues? This whole post you just made is nothing but a personal attack. Furthermore, I am not emotional...I am passionate....big difference!!! I am part of the grassroots movement that is going to improve this country!!

Well said!! I found out earlier that many of them didn't even watch his speech!! I pride myself in getting both sides of the story, and usually the truth is somewhere in the middle. I think healthy discussion is sooo important for growth! But the Reps on here are so close minded...I don't get it BTW...always nice to see you!!

Once again you have failed to provide proof of your claims with any kind of non biased source! Rob Miller (D), had received more than 11,000 individual grassroots contributions raising more than $400,000 overnight!!! Not Wilson!! I was simply stating something that I found interesting!! Another fact...you are not AnAngleAlways...as a matter of fact you have always been very rude and condescending towards me, when I am merely trying to have an intelligent discussion or offer interesting bits!! I have many republican friends that really have legitimate concerns and issues (and I respect them tremendously)..it is too bad that those concerns "good" republicans are being over shadowed by rude, tactless, dishonest characters! We will see who is clueless!!

And once again, you misread the statement. Rep. Wilson's contributions did not go through the roof!!! His opponent's contributions went through the roof (opponent means the Democrat that is running against him)FYI

This just in: Wilson's campaign opponent had only $16,000 in his campaign account before Wilson's outburst last night. After the outburst his campaign brought in $400,000...overnight!!! Looks like the Republicans are really the best things for the Democratic party!!! Also, the OFA (Organizing for America) site when down last night because so many people are now interested in joining the movement!!

The 900 Billion would come from cutting administrative costs and eliminating wasteful spending. Most low income (or non income) persons would be eligible under that plan. We would not be footing the bill. Did you watch his speech last night?

Actually he spoke about filling the donut hole in such programs and i think you will see improvement. The money is coming from cutting massive overhead in administrative costs etc. You say he is lying..can you please give an example? I am sooo sorry for what you are going through, but honestly, do you think you would be better off without it?

Wow...thanks sky for creating this post. I am so tired of all the Obama bashing and this is the first really fair, intelligent post, I have seen in a long time. I am pleased that he tried to put an end to all the vicious lies about this bill to rest. While it is not perfect, it is certainly makes sense and I think it is a very logical and sound approach. Even at the height of criticism, he still tried to reach across party lines and find common ground...and he really doesn't have to. The voters already chose what they want and frankly, Im pretty sure we can get it passed without the Reps. There are some awesome Reps, with real legitimate concerns, it is too bad that those concerns are being over-shadowed by tabloid politics and fear based rumors. All and all, I am very encouraged! He has my support 100%
