I think more than anything is going on vacation and not being able to share all the wonderful things you learn, experience. All the great adventures...I just don't go to restaurants, I go to bars now and then, and alot of people there are single, so I feel a bit better. I do agree with the other ladies in making a wrong choice and having a bad relationship--I'd rather be alone, just like you guys wouldn't want to be with the wrong woman making you miserable, us too.

So sorry for you Michael...do you notice the stuff he was eating was food empty of nutrition? Alot of times people that eat like that are eating food that has no nutritional value, and they become addicted to food. This guy needs to eat lots of veggies,
grains, some pasta or potates, and protein. The food in the house needs to change. I have a friend at work that had that surgery and she brings cakes, pies, cookies, candy--help! We have to stay away from her goodies, or invite other people in because all that stuff is so tempting, but it's part of her addiction. Sometimes people have chemical imbalances. The guy needs to drink lots of warm water, good for digestion. He eats because his body isn't satisfied nutritionally, and I'm sure that counseling of some sort wouldn't hurt, but all the empty nutrional food needs to go, or most of it. Maybe it has, and maybe he's just in a painful addiction that he can't even help himself with. Have you told him about all the other people that come back from war in tact, and what about him? Have you guys told him collectively as a group? Hard to say what gets peoples attentioin...I absolutely hope the best for you....maybe tough love too. What does the family do? Do the rest of them go out and do stuff on their own and leave him? If he had only healthy food to eat, would he starve, or would he start eating what's there? So sad, again hope the best for your friend and your
concern...

Of course there is someone, may just take longer. There is a mate for every sock...tis true I really believe...comes down to
breaking down your pickiness, and getting to your true heart...there are some things that you can live with, and you found out all of a sudden with that person, you care more to be around them than to be picky about an issue, as well as there might be an issue about you..do you think you're so blasted perfect?!!!

silly things that happen and how we recover

Has it ever happened to you that you wanted to make a great impression on someone, but it backfired? Were you able to recover, or did they just "blow you away"? Example: My daughter and I like to go to this place to dance on Sundays, and she had been talking with one of the band members who had invited her to a private party the following day. She had gone to the restroom and the band had started up and she went dancing up to the front of the bar by the band, and before I could grab her she did a spin to reveal a long train of toilet paper from the back of her jeans. Needless to say the guy never called her.
Was anyone able to recover from embarassment and still go out, or what was worse that happened to you or someone you know?

I think the kitty would win because it has much more of an appetite than the frog and has claws, and stamina. The frog can
only hop around for so long, and needs water, and can't survive
as well, not to mention the cat's sharp teeth....

What do you think they want? Just to get to know you, or share a little humor? I think in general people are very friendly on here. For the MOST polite to each other, have a good laugh, or have compassion for others that come here hurting...or for advise. I say pretty friendly...

I didn't know all that info, but I've been using butter since I was about 30 and olive oil. My mom raised us on margarine, but its one of the few necessities to me that is necessary as well as
olive oil. I use lightly and try to make it last when it comes to my health. Thank you ooby dooby!!

Wow, that's taking away what little rights we have left. I've quit smoking now for 12 days, but I wouldn't want to stop anyone from smoking. There is a little bar down the street that you can still smoke in. I used to go in there alot. Air is free, parks and streets are public for all. Maybe we can start stopping people from coming into certain towns and cities that don't allow smoking, and see who survives the best when it comes to business? Just because you ban smoking isn't going to stop someone from dying a different way, or get a different illness not related to smoking. Are our choices being ripped away from us as well, and we just aren't paying attention? You're right
"land of the free?" What about all the foods that are produced that contain cancer causing agents or meds? Why are they allowed????????

we are not being given the whole truth. Our media is selective by what info we receive. The outside world receives it all.

I did volunteer work at a political gathering and met Michael Bolton, Chrystal Gayle, Amy Grant, Ronnie Spector--I can't remember the whole line up of people, but we hung out back stage with all of these people and more, it was a lot of fun. Chrystal Gale was so kind and petite, tiny feet, and long hair.
Also met B.B. King a while back too...sang to me
