im here for none other than a chat so i dont have any real expectations, if i find decent people who i do eventually have an interest in meeting, well its a bonus.. nothing wrong with having more friends or decent people in ur life is there :P

IF we were meeting anybody in "the places where we are day to day in our life" then we probably wouldn't BE on here.
I don't expect much anymore, maybe to get cussed at by some single mom's and/or get criticized by complete strangers on CS for anything/everything I am... that's about it.

Hey Stef! Agreed! Having no particular expectation is the best way to approach these sites - then you won't be disappointed.
I am here - after being on other sites - because the people are much nicer! To meet people online and have a mix of online and IRL friends. And hope at some point a friend will turn into something more. But in the mean time to have fun and be stimulated...intellectually, of course-

I notice that almost everyone here finds the site and fora (plural for forum) boring and keep complaining about the decreasing quality of people that post here.
But my observation is that everyone is still here and the ones complaining the most are the ones who are starring on the fora day and day after day.

As for me, I'm here to have fun on the forums, keep in touch with friends and of course have my eyes, and heart open to hopefully find someone special. You just never know when someone special will come into your radar screen!
I think any site is what you make of it, I've meet some wonderful people in my time year, dated and connected with a few different people. If you want it in real life, you have to be willing to step outside of your room/computer screen - it is possible. I wish that we had meet & greets in my local area - they seem to be a lot of fun.

I have no expectations as far as finding a partner from this site is concerned. I live like 4853485234152348152194234821 miles away from most people Been there done that with long distance things. So I'm perfectly fine with focusing on women who live in my city. But I never say never
