Way too many to name. They're in and out of this area all the time and I'd have to say that most are very nice. Particularly like Gary Sinise and I think very highly of Sam Elliott.

yes I have and this person is a good friend of the family, does the London Stage and Hollywood, has the most loveliest hands I have ever seen on a man! Went charging around South East London in his 1960's red ferrari, a truly great person and superb actor. But I am not a name dropper!!

lion131: a film star,singer,sportstar maybe? if so,were they polite,or a big disappointment?
Have met many, to talk with and get to know... but not for an autograph. Some, I have known personally and all for the exception of one they were really nice people when you get to know them one to one.
Badgering them for an autograph is not the way to get to speak with "stars" and the reaction you may get might lead you to think they are not nice people. !!

For myself, I tell restaurant owners that I'm famous, but use a different name as a celebrity............ but that when I die my true name will be revealed and my autograph will be worth a lot of money............ I then pay by cheque!
It doesn't work that often - only about 1% of the time.......... and I change my bank every decade or so and hope that uncleared cheques never catch up with me!
I mean saving a few bob on a meal because the owner wants to keep your cheque as a souvenir is kinda cool, isn't it?

Rick Derringer, he was playing lead guitar for Cindy Lauper at the time and I was hanging out with the production manager of the tour at the time. I have "bumped into" several celebrities at the resort I work at, I just shouldn't reveal any names.

Yes, but my problem is I have sometimes met "famous" people without knowing who they were (A bit embarrassing later on when people say "You talked to HIM?!?!" - "Yes, so what?" - "Don't you KNOW who he is?" - "Errmm, well, who is he?" Seeing as I haven't watched TV for the last 7 years, I really don't follow celebrity life much, but if life somehow brings them my way, I have practically always enjoyed the contact.
I do give autographs whenever asked for and do pose for pics like 1000 times a day. But, when I'm in a bad mood I throw hot coffee on people, kick photographers and raise hell. I even bit a dog once.
Most of the famous people I've met were in Auto racing. Not just met actually but worked with including Paul Newmann. He wasn't the friendliest guy around. Mario Andretti has a bit of a temper and I got the worst of it one day. Al Unser was one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. Bobby Allison drove my Renault Le Car from the track at Charlotte to the teams shop one day. He didn't drive like an idiot on the street. His wife cooked catfish for me at their house in Heuytown AL one time when Bobby brought me there. That's when I met his son Davey Allison who later died in a helicopter crash in 1993. I met Della Reese singer and star of "Touched by an Angel" her voice just talking would make your whole body vibrate. I was a helper at a TV repair shop when I was a kid in NYC and we did a service call to fix her TV. I worked with Richard Petty & Kyle Petty, met Dale Earnhart and Darrill Waltrip but didn't have a working relationship with either of them.
