lion131: a film star,singer,sportstar maybe? if so,were they polite,or a big disappointment?
YES, it was part of my job (PR). First in showbizz, I worked with many famous French singers. Then in movie bizz, I met Clint Eastwood, William Hurt, Harrison Ford, Jane Fonda, Mel Brooks, and many others. Most stars were very nice, polite, professional, kind, funny, intelligent. They have a particular feeling about people, nature, love or objects, that make them extremely sensitive and lovable.

Billy Ray Cyrus - really nice guy. He spent ages after the concert, signing autographs and talking to his fans. He had time for everyone.
Chris Isaak - just the same. Really friendly and down to earth, plus really funny. After the concert, everyone formed an orderly line to get his autograph - not only did everyone gets his autograph and a photo or two, but he shook everyone's hand! ....haven't washed mine since
Oh yes, and Nicholas Crane - British cartographer, explorer, writer and broadcaster. His most recent tv programs were "Great British Journeys" and "Coast". - Really nice man. Very friendly and approachable. I also did a sponsored bike ride with him many decades ago for 'Intermediate Technology'.

That was the last time I have had any kind of Celebrity Sighting.

Worked on the mini-series "North and South" for a couple of months while they filmed in Charleston, SC. Started out as an extra and then worked in wardrobe as a seamstress. Ate lunch everyday with many cast members and had a few drinks at night once in a while with some of the cast to unwind after filming for the day was done. They were a really great bunch of people.

I've met Marlo Thomas (That Girl) years ago at a scout jamboree. I was about 13 at the time.
Several years ago I saw Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica). I was standing about 5 feet away from him as he did an interview with a local television station.
During my 2 1/2 years in Brooklyn NY, I've met quite a few stars while frequenting Studio 54. Helped to know one of the bouncers as he was a corpsman on the same airstation
