what really irritates me is when my married friends and work colleagues would pressure me into finding a partner and to get married and have kids..i hate it!
Fine. let's live in sin, and you can go on the pill...

I am lucky to be single... it has it immense benefits... but just sometimes ..... when I need to make an important decision it would be nice to ask someone their opinion...
Oh and having someone to go out with on a Sat. night.

You arrive at the venue an hour before the entertainment starts, order a meal and some drinks (i.e. spend up big) and get a good table right in front of the stage. The staff and musician all love you because they've known you for years.
But after the first bracket, that jug of beer wants to obey the laws of nature, so you visit the men's room and on your way back stop in the smoking area for a couple of minutes.
By the time you get back, your table has been cleared and a group that arrived late have been placed in your prized location. They buy nothing, but get the best seats in the house.
No use getting annoyed at the staff, they just shrug as if this is normal. There are three of them and only one of you, and they needed seats.
One of the most annoying things for me being single was when my 4 year old daughter wants a wee, do I take her into the men's toilets, shove her into the ladies and then deal with the wee all down her leg and in her shoe, put up with the holier than thou stares when I take her into the disabled or try to find a lady who looks trustworthy to help her in the ladies.
But I also agree being single is better than if one is in a bad relationship. But, (again) some people give on the relationship too easily. Now if the relationship is abusive well of course shut it down. I am on here to meet someone, I may not. I would rather be in relationship than be single.
Single doesn't bother me. I do like to have the company of a male companion at times though...and yes friends drive me crazy always trying to "set me up"with someone.Sheesh!
