yup apparently you were right. I could still wait and clean it myself and see what happens but I am not taking any chances with her.I can't figure out how it happened which makes me think there may have been an infection there initially that made the toenail fall out...but you'd think she would have been picking at it before now...whatever ...she's old and I can't risk it...!!

Okay update...friend of Aunt dropped by...she works at the vet clinic. Thinks the dog has an infection...no sign of toenail at all. sigh....Vet clinic booked up til monday so I have to do a walk in which is an extra 25 dollars...on top of the 35 just to look at her...Damn it! Then there will be drugs...sigh

I am in need of some advice professional or experience...willing to accept anything. I noticed this morning that my dogs back toenail is missing...Gone completely!! I knew there was something off cause she's been walking weird for two days and I was checking her leg thinking it was thet but this morning she was licking her foot and I discovered what the problem was. ....much to my horror. Now has anyone ever heard of those just falling off? She doesn't run loose So I know she hasn't been in an accident or anything. I've seen any signs of blood...just cant figure out what the hell happened and what I should do about it. Now is that thing gonna grow back...arrgggg... I smell expensive vet trips for a freekin toenail!
