sorry getting a bit worked up there!!! Bring it back down a level - sit down, talk face to face, maybe get someone external to faciliate the meeting??? calmer, found cigarettes!!!!!
if you get some residents trying to force/encourage another group of residents to pay their fees, things can get out of hand very quickly. Seen it happen. You need to work within the agreed structures, and if they're not working at the moment, work from within to change them. Have seen situation like this where some well thinking residents tried to force the issue, and all hell broke loose........ You should never take on the solve an issue where you do not have the power or authority to implement the solution?? Sorry, preaching again
you need to get all the neccessary information before taking any action and you also need the support of the majority of the residents....................
terms of reference for management companies should be made known to all residents - doesn't happen but should be one rule for all so if monthly payments accepted in some cases, should be in all.... Could be original arrangement in place and then change of management company and new procedures???
Ok, if new management company then the residents should have much greater control over what does/does not happen within a complex but to make any changes it would imply getting involved with the Board of Management. Members of this structure would have been elected by majority of owners of dwellings in complex? I work with the local authority and am the link person between them and the various management companies in Kilkenny County. There is very little regulation of management companies per se. Management companies have little authority and in fact cannot force people to pay fees once the initial payment has been made. The only way for them to try to force the issue is to withdraw services, but unfortunately this then affects the residents who are complying?? Where a management compnay has a proven track record of not fulfilling their responsibilities, the only way to deal with them is to replace? Have you seen copies of their audited accounts? It might be interesting to see what fees they are paying themselves???
just moved to rented accommodation, didn't need phone line either for sky or internet connection. And managed to create SKY account in son's name and got the special offer on sky + box - best thing ever!!! Now just spend time deleting all the recorded films that nver had any intention of watching!!
and something similar on radio 1 here, but everyone is being a bit too politically correct, bit of posturing going on, always feel that when an issue like this hits the fan, others are thinking to themselves, thank god (or whoever), it's them and not me?? Cynical huh?
madness good!! Especially when nothing else on offer!! And that is not meant as a glib response - do appreciate the difficulties faced by thiose who suffer from depression!!! Other chat????
yeah, and what if you're on bloody holidays, snow bound and every one else has been sent home - oh yeah, doesn't matter, paid holidays!! Newbie, have been reading your forum chats - you all seem to know each other really well??
