I've done my best to be the firms page hog for a couple of pages but I'm knackered now and I'll have to go back to work soon so somebody else will have to do it now. atb, see you soon peeps.
pardon me......but isn't that the most stupid thing that anybody could say on a public forum? I shouldn't have topoint out the obvious......but how exactly are we going to know if we like or dislike anything anybody posts if we don't read it first?
Just got a message from muse, she's really pleased, she said to thank everybody for such positive input, guess that includes you too mods.
It's great to know that you want cs to be so good for us. we luvs ya, we also luvs it when we get communication from ya, saves us from guessing and getting it wrong.
well I hope that view makes you and v feel very secure.
I, on the other hand recognise that it's not so long ago that people thought the world was flat and that if you went far enough you could fall off the edge.
these days we can measure in hours the amount of time it takes to go all the way round in a plane.
a couple of hundred years ago they thought that the forrests were endless and would last forever, it took several strong men, sometimes days to hack through a big tree with axes, these days a man with a chainsaw can get through the same trees in minutes, where there are any left, deforrestation is a real global issue and even where there are replanting strategies for sustainable issues the trees are different types and don't put out the same oxygen or tie up the same carbon.
the fact is that so called progress has taken off big time in the last couple of hundred yrs and the effects on the planet are sometimes unmeasurable.
what must have taken a big event like a volcano erupting to put stuff up in the atmosphere, now only takes a stretch of motorway or two and a bank holiday, they said it was progress to stop using the railways for transporting goods in the uk because the trains looked like they were polluting....but look how many lorries we have bumping out black smoke from the exhausts running around. the government put axle weight restrictions on so the manufacturers stopped putting twin wheels on (that used to spread the weight) and added more axles, now we have 3 and sometimes 4 all tearing against the road surface when they corner.
at the moment there are people dying in china, africa and india from drinking water from rivers that are polluted by factories, The farmers are being encouraged to spray all sorts of things onto the land that must end up in the water table, a chemical cocktail?
the latest nuclear scare from japan has already affected the earth in a way that will never be reversed, the ministers in dublin have been nagging, pleading and petitioning britain to close sellafield because it is killing peeps in eire and affecting our kids and still they bring pollution to there from all over the world. I only see it getting worse, quicker and quicker and untill theres a massive change in attitude that's the way it'll keep going.
