well to ecapsulate it in a nutshell for you we british love peeps to wade in and say something stupid just for the hell of it and, as long as there's no malicious intent, if you get it badly wrong you can always apologise. on the other hand it may just be the funniest thing we've ever heard and make our day

I know it's not quite the same but I had a rottweiler that thought his name was gorgeous, everybody who saw him called him gorgeous and gave him a hug, he's just sit there and beam, loving it.
