Hey! Not so! I resent that! I fly kites (seriously am an avid kite flyer)
But anyways, in 1972/3 at their peak - was 15/16 then, and a few friends & I used to traverse the record bars after school. These record shops (in SA) were traditionally in shoping centers basements - and quickly become known as Underground Dens and acquired the monicker, Underground Music! So we used to listen & bought the records of that era - Grateful_Dead, Frank Zappa, Grandfunk (my Fav), Led Zep, The Who, Hydra, Dada, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Uriah Heep, etc! I still have my records & have transferred to CD now - but yea! We were also hit by the Hippie lyfestyle/faze then & I still like it - have one leg in the 70's still & one in 2011. I still grow my own weed, my ex used to make those lovely Jewellery of that time! I've lost my hair though but not those wonderful memories!
"Live fast! Die young! And have a good looking corpse!"
Was the rallying call of the 70's misguided teenagers - influenced by the gang movie "Cross and the Switchblade". Gang live was rife in areas on the city outskirts and I only make mention of this in reference to OP title, because in a survey done over a decade later; it was found that 7 out of 10 from that era never got a chance to even make it to the altar!
Chicken facts: There are more chickens on this Earth than Humans. Chickens are pretty fast runners - up to 9 mph. Chicken language serves to warn other chickens as to what type of predator is in the vicinity. The most amount of yolks ever found in an egg was 9!
Before going to bed have a few Don Pedros Or slow down on the powerwalks!
Nah! Jus kidding, am an incurable isomniac myself & love it! I read for a few hours every night & always (only) fall of to sleep, listening to meditational music. Motivational talks (like Jose Silva material) or even indulge in light self hypnosis - Good Stuff!
Ps I take my walks, early morning - 45 min, daily!
When your baby leaves ya all alone, And nobody calls you on the phone. Ah, don't ya feel like crying? Don't ya feel like crying? Come on, Baby, cry to me.
Cheer up kidddo - there's a new dawn breaking, a new day to re-create ourselves, whichever way we feel! Wish ya well!
Couldn't watch the video, will try later! However it is my personal belief that most great art, musical pieces & great discoveries are divinely inspired! I have heard some great musical pieces in my life and always marvel at their perfection. I once heard one of your countryman play the flute so captivatingly - it will always remain in my mind. When I get a faster adsl connection, will look for it on youtube!
Have had 2 cats for over 10 years - and the 1 also hunted daily & brought home birds; although he never hunted the chickens on our plot ( at timesan as many as 30 baby chicks). Anyways, I got him one of those collars with small bells on them & that made it hard for him to catch more birds! Maybe that may help!
Well, if it were me or my immediate family, I would take the issue up with my country's Government opposition party & if they do take some kind of action - I would canvass a million votes for them!
I definitely need to get some lessons in cooking...... For 2.5 years now - have lived of cafe & take away meals! If there one weakness, I've been blessed with is that "I can't cook to save my life!"
I think it's best to reply politely as " a stranger is a friend you don't know"; barring scammers of course! One of the major benefits a site like this offers is the chance to interact with people from all over the world; which you rarely get elsewhere! OK! So a lot of our cultures (sense of humor/mode of communications) may differ; but in some minor historic cosmic event, people here in their own way are re-uniting the world.
Not far of; It was more Arabian Nights - hey, before Internet & TV, that's how you were introduced to th rest of the world! That & an active imagination! Howeve I'm still fired up for an Arabian belly dancer - I hope there's a few on CS!!!

I'm grateful for having been part of that era!
