Yes, I used to have a partner who would buy me gifts for each time we met, and insisted on paying for everything. I even had to stopped showing an interest in any clothes and shoes etc, as she would go buy them for me. Just couldn't live like that, and she said she wouldn't stop!!
No, see my ex about twice a fortnight, and don't want her back. We cook each other meals, and catch up, but the thing is...is that we are far better friends, than we were lovers. So all good.
I've sat for the last 5 minutes running through what I want to say to you TH, and I know that you have a great sense of humour, but I feel that everything I want to say, may not come across as intended, so me be taken the wrong way! But here's my wee input for you.....So you're a decent guy! Hey there's loads out there. So you're older than you care to be! Time catches up with us all. Wasting your time!!!!!!!!!!!(take note of the abundance of exclamation marks) That's probably the main reason that we are all on here so frequently, is to waste time. Blame yourself.......WHY????? what's wrong with still maintaining that wish for companionship and closeness, if that's blaming, a high percentage of us are guilty of that. Making room for the younger guys! Get a grip, we've got plenty of our own worries, you just concentrate in getting yourself a lovely 'older' lady to chat to and maybe spend some time with. Lastly, I wish you good luck, in whatever path you chose to take, but be sure of this, we'll always be around at some point, here on CS.
It always intrigued me when my old grandmother read her 'stars' from the Sunday papers (and they all had a different outcome) and I'd ask her which one she believed this week !!!
