I realised, after a month or so after joining, that the local forums were all about playing games (mental stimulation), where as the international forums had many topics that I could comment on. I've found some lovely folks there, as well as some, not so nice, but it takes all sorts eh! As for finding someone, I've had a fair few interested, and I've also been interested in a few, but it's not the same as local is it? You can't just travel half way round the world,in the hope that everything will be ok!!!! That's why, in my profile sh-peel, I mention friendship, cos after all, I prefer to start things as friends, and if there is a progression from there, well we'll see!
I feel that I must also add that the forums are losing their appeal for me!! It may be that winter is ending, and it feels good to get away from the laptop, or it could simply be that I'm getting slightly bored!!
For sure.....there will be many thousands of members here, but probably 50-100 regular posters!!!!! It's a real pity that the other members don't take their chance to shine.
