RE: Kisses......

laugh
Well maybe some people are that bad laugh

RE: Smoking

I am a smkoer but trying to quit, been almost 3 days now dancing
I would date a smoker though even if I never light up again.

RE: Kisses......

I think it is pretty silly to break up with someone for the simple reason their kissing skills aren't up to scratch. Firstly, their kissing can improve, especially if it's just the two of you doing the kissing, you will become more compatible the more you do it wink
Plus grown-ups don't usually spend all their time snogging the faces off each other anyway, maybe if you were 16 it might be a problem, and even if you do the novelty will wear off after a few months at the most and the snogging/kissing will become a lot less frequent.

RE: Up To Date Profile Pictures

Mine are no more than a few months old

RE: golf

woohoooo Schwartzel wins, South African does it again dancing
Too bad for Rory though, he will win a major one day, he is still a tadpole laugh

RE: making new friends

I know how you feel, I just moved to Ipswich a few months ago, it's tough trying to meet new people. Think I might join a book club

RE: Do you rember your first snog

I tried looking for her on FB but she has a pretty common last name and she probably has been married since and diffrenet last name anyway dunno

RE: Yes or no game

Yes, it's hilarious, a classic tv comedy.

Have you ever hitch-hiked anywhere?

RE: Do you rember your first snog

Yes, I was 17 ( a late starter haha ), she was 16, was at a party and her name was Ashley ( I wonder where Ashley is these days ) dunno

RE: Yes or no game

Yes, been watching it all night, hoping McKilroy wins, he is a great player and deserves a major title. If he doesn't win then one of the South African's Shwartzel or Immelman, I put a 2 pound bet on Immelman at 50-1, he is 11 shots behind so not looking likely.

When did you last win a bet?

RE: Yes or no game

Nah, I doubt it, unless they have one in Ipswich, which I seriously doubt. Maybe the next Dublin one I might go, I miss Dublin sigh

How about u?

RE: Share a poem.

Great poem by Yeats N, did you ever go to the Yeats exhibition that was on at the National Library, think it was there for about 2 years, might still be on actually.

RE: Yes or no game

Yes, just a tad, probs the most I've drank in 4 months ( I like your new pic btw, very funny )

Not going to post a question as I have to leave now, talk to you later

wave

RE: Yes or no game

Yes, was a nice day, although I am hungover so haven't been out, hopefully will be the same tomorrow and I'll go to the park.

How about you?

RE: Yes or no game

Nope, all feet are ugly, so no point in looking at her feet.

Are you going to play the lottery tonight?

And another by Wilde

THE HARLOT'S HOUSE

by: Oscar Wilde

E caught the tread of dancing feet,
We loitered down the moonlit street,
And stopped beneath the harlot's house.

Inside, above the din and fray,
We heard the loud musicians play
The "Treues Liebes Herz" of Strauss.

Like strange mechanical grotesques,
Making fantastic arabesques,
The shadows raced across the blind.

We watched the ghostly dancers spin
To sound of horn and violin,
Like black leaves wheeling in the wind.

Like wire-pulled automatons,
Slim silhouetted skeletons
Went sidling through the slow quadrille.

The took each other by the hand,
And danced a stately saraband;
Their laughter echoed thin and shrill.

Sometimes a clockwork puppet pressed
A phantom lover to her breast,
Sometimes they seemed to try to sing.

Sometimes a horrible marionette
Came out, and smoked its cigarette
Upon the steps like a live thing.

Then, turning to my love, I said,
"The dead are dancing with the dead,
The dust is whirling with the dust."

But she--she heard the violin,
And left my side, and entered in:
Love passed into the house of lust.

Then suddenly the tune went false,
The dancers wearied of the waltz,
The shadows ceased to wheel and whirl.

And down the long and silent street,
The dawn, with silver-sandalled feet,
Crept like a frightened girl.

I love this poem by Auden

As I Walked Out One Evening
by W. H. Auden

As I walked out one evening,
Walking down Bristol Street,
The crowds upon the pavement
Were fields of harvest wheat.

And down by the brimming river
I heard a lover sing
Under an arch of the railway:
'Love has no ending.

'I'll love you, dear, I'll love you
Till China and Africa meet,
And the river jumps over the mountain
And the salmon sing in the street,

'I'll love you till the ocean
Is folded and hung up to dry
And the seven stars go squawking
Like geese about the sky.

'The years shall run like rabbits,
For in my arms I hold
The Flower of the Ages,
And the first love of the world.'

But all the clocks in the city
Began to whirr and chime:
'O let not Time deceive you,
You cannot conquer Time.

'In the burrows of the Nightmare
Where Justice naked is,
Time watches from the shadow
And coughs when you would kiss.

'In headaches and in worry
Vaguely life leaks away,
And Time will have his fancy
To-morrow or to-day.

'Into many a green valley
Drifts the appalling snow;
Time breaks the threaded dances
And the diver's brilliant bow.

'O plunge your hands in water,
Plunge them in up to the wrist;
Stare, stare in the basin
And wonder what you've missed.

'The glacier knocks in the cupboard,
The desert sighs in the bed,
And the crack in the tea-cup opens
A lane to the land of the dead.

'Where the beggars raffle the banknotes
And the Giant is enchanting to Jack,
And the Lily-white Boy is a Roarer,
And Jill goes down on her back.

'O look, look in the mirror,
O look in your distress:
Life remains a blessing
Although you cannot bless.

'O stand, stand at the window
As the tears scald and start;
You shall love your crooked neighbour
With your crooked heart.'

It was late, late in the evening,
The lovers they were gone;
The clocks had ceased their chiming,
And the deep river ran on.
