Seeking feedback ...

on FHA Government financed home loans. If anyone has any experience with them or have heard about them, I would appreciate any feedback. Pros and cons.

RE: The all new CS lost and found dept.

.... no you haven't! wink

RE: Women; Respect & Sarah Palin

I don't think it would make any difference who was chosen for that position, people just feel the need to complain condemn and criticize.

I personally think she's one hot ticket and McCain could have done alot worse.

Whether she's ready to be a VP or President is in question but complaining about it and putting her down isn't going to change that. I do believe she has just as good a chance of filling either office successfully as Obama does.

RE: There's A Wedding Today.......

WOO HOO yay

Congratulations to you both

You are our inspiration.

RE: Everyone here is looking for the same thing______ Love

In my last attempt at love, the things my partner did not like about me included:

Sleeping (I went to bed too early)

Showering (I prefer a morning shower, he prefers nighttime)

Driving (he would ask me to drive and then backseat drive the entire time)

Personal Hygiene choices (I like a dab of perfume, he wanted to be able to smell me coming 10 mins before I got there.)

Parenting skills (He thought I should order my son to live by my standards-My son is 27. I felt he was old enough to live by his own standards.)

I could go on but I won't bore you. At some point I realized, I was changing "me" little by little for someone else.

So one day I asked him, "Is there anything about me that you DO like?" His reply was after 1 second, "Your cute"!

So I believe Dan is right, if you fall in love with someone why try and change them?

RE: What dose Hospitality mean in a profile

I think my profile says hospitality under occupation.

For me it means I manage the front desk of a hotel. Not always an easy job because whenever you hear "are you the manager" it generally means they are looking to complain and want compensation.

RE: Is there a over 45+ group forum?

Pity Party for Patty

When I was 10 years old, my parents took the family to an air show where I watched the Blue Angels perform. Even at 10 I was so impressed ... I remember the goose bumps it gave me when they did their fly bys.

Ever since then I have longed to attend another performance but for a multitude of reasons was never able to make it - mostly due to distance. This year the Brunswick NAS in Maine hosted the show and that is only 3 1/2 hrs from me.

Finally after 40 plus yrs I was going to actually make a performance. My son and I both adjusted our work schedules. Paid $100 for a hotel room so we could get there early and spent about another $100 on food and gas. The first part of the air show was wonderful but paled in comparison to the performance I remembered as a child.

Then after 40 yrs and 6 hours of waiting the commentator announced that the Blue Angels had been grounded due to poor weather conditions from Hurricane Hanna.

I can't remember the last time I have been so disappointed. crying moping

RE: Is anyone listening to McCain right now?

Sadly it won't matter who is elected president ... we will find reasons to bash and criticize them.

Any ebay experts in the forums?

Thanks Dennis ... I will try that.

Any ebay experts in the forums?

This item I am interested in seems very popular right now.

If I wait six months do you think the demand will subside and I might get a better deal or will I no longer be able to find it?

Any ebay experts in the forums?

Hi Hank wave

Life is good. Currently a bit over worked but that's about to change soon. It's a good thing cuz I'm starting to get cranky!

Hope all is well with you ... still have a band aid on your heart?

Any ebay experts in the forums?

This one item I was watching, there were 7 bids in a row made by the same person hiking the bids from
$24.50 to $85.00

Any ebay experts in the forums?

I have just been watching some of the action on ebay. I'm not sure but it appears that people who place an automatic bid days in advance, seem to bid against themselves after a certain period of time when no one else has placed a bid, jacking the price up on themselves.

Am I correct?

Is anyone worried ...

Sorry to hear that teddybear

Is anyone worried ...

Thanks Hank .... your lady friend just my take issue with that!

Is anyone worried ...

My house is new and well insulated but I don't have a chimney. If I had the money to have one put in or buy a pellet stove, I would be able to pay for my oil.

It will cost me $1000 for a tank of oil every 3 months. I have a hard enough time coming up with that much every six months for my taxes.

Is anyone worried ...

besides me as to how they will heat their home this winter?

I have heard so much talk about pellet stoves and alternative heating it makes my head spin.

I am curious ...

I posted this in the international forums but it was suggested I post it here to get more of a response.

Working in the hospitality industry I have many opportunities to meet folks from all over the world. One of the things I like best about my job.

I recently chatted with several families from England and the UK. What we find rather pricey in the US, these families found very inexpensive. We americans complain about our gas prices being $4.00/gallon and the family from England said their gas is $15.00/gallon.

I also notice in the forums there seem to be more get togethers overseas, where a bit of traveling is involved than in the US.

My question is how do you manage with costs being much higher? Are the wages much higher than the US?

I am curious ...

Thank you everyone for the information. You have been quite helpful.

RE: Hanging in.

You are very welcome!

You see CS is just a better place with Leo here. It appears I am not the only one who feels this way.

RE: I was in the neighbourhood....

WOW

It's just like a reunion!

Welcome back Babe ... I knew you would miss us eventually.kiss

RE: What are you doing at the moment

I just knew there had to be a really good reason why you were more excited about appliances and counter tops than a man!

Older children moving back home

I know I have often joked about not being able to get my son to move out but I have to admit he has really come through for me this time.

Since losing my job several years ago, I have struggled financially to keep my house. My son suggested giving up his apartment and moving back in with me to help us both out financially. I took him up on his offer.

I'm not sure how long this arrangement will have to last but I sure do appreciate his help now.

Does anyone else have an example of their kids coming to their rescue?

RE: Gentlepaws

Hi Mindful ... Just look at all the friends on here tonight.

Now if only Leo was here!
