Never be jealous of your ex if you see them with someone else.... After all, your parents always taught you to give your USED toys to the less fortunate.
Estate Agents are LEGALLY obliged to place every offer received for a property before a vendor for consideration, up to the time the vendor has executed the formal contract. The agent has no option in this regard and, should the agent fail to report a meaningful offer, the vendor could sue the agent if the vendor loses the opportunity to accept a higher offer.
I just did a small bit of research on the legality of it, and it ONLY becomes illegal if a formal contract has been signed, and even then there are exceptions.
That is the problem, no-one knows what the details are. You may even be able to use that uncertainty to your benefit, claiming you may have to withdraw your offer because you don't now know what the running costs of the house will be, then go back and make a lower offer.
I am sure all the conspiracy nut jobs will all be out soon enough saying it never happened, you know, the unremarkable individuals who think that by attacking something remarkable people will take notice of them...sad really.
Well now, if ya thought that 83,000+ people being more than 90 days in arrears on their mortgage is bad, then wait till this new tax comes in, it will force even more people into difficulty and probably force more repossessions, it will also force house prices down even further.
Great if you are looking to buy, crap if you are trying to sell.
