Those so called true story movies, are usually "BASED," or "INSPIRED," by actual invents, which means most of it is exaggerated beyond belief or completely made up for, "DRAMATIC EFFECT."
It is a absolute nerve though, I pay a TV license every year for RTE to produce crappy programs and endlessly repeat them, and then I will have to pay again at some stage for a set top box or new TV so I can actually watch crappy programs and endless repeats,
Screw em, satellite system will be bought instead.
Great...just love it....so on top of my TV license, which will be due soon, I now either have to buy a new TV or a set top box at my own damned expense, and for for what? So I can get a better quality picture of the endless repeats and crappy programs that RTE dish out? I would prefer better quality programs.
Freeview sounds like the better option, and to hell with watching RTE.
Nothing beats a good live thumping rocking band. Whether it be AC/DC at the Monsters of Rock, or buskers with a bit of talent belting it out on a street corner.
Think about the flip side of that for a moment, that God just happened to decide one day to create an entire universe, and to produce the ideal organisms to live in specific conditions. And he did it all in just six days?
At least the theory of evolution allows for organisms to "EVOLVE," over a period of time, in Earths case, approx 3 billion years, to its current state, it also means that life is still evolving and will continue to evolve to better suit its environment. Genetic mutation is not just chance, if the mutation is of no benefit, that strain of species will die out, to be replaced by one better suited to cope with its surroundings. That can hardly be classed as just chance.
I predict that everywhere will eventually burn to cinders and be destroyed completely and utterly, that all life on this planet will be wiped out in the fiery flames of total oblivion, that the entire planet will be blown to pieces.......in a few billion years when the sun eventually gives out.
But I am not going to worry too much about that, or the seemingly endless predictions of imminent disaster that get posted constantly on websites. Life is too short as it is, so go out and have fun.
back2school is spot one, it is an old law enacted at the behest of the the church, if government is serious about separation of church and state then this law should be repealed as soon as possible.
It is also the weekend that really kicks off the tourist season, and then we tell the tourists, Sorry, pubs closed, cos the church says so?!?!?
There is one thing I will say though, you would swear that we were about to enact total prohibition with some of the panic buying of booze that happens on the Thursday before a good Friday.
Being overtaken on a ghost island in a 60 zone by a twit. Then when we got to the 100 stretch, his little crap mobile couldn't do more than 90, so I overtook him. He looked really shocked that I would even dare.
He also had L plates on the car, and was driving alone.
2/3 rds of communications is down to body language and tone of voice, so it is hard to judge whether someone is being flirty, or just rude, when you read it in a posting.
As for my opinion of you, based on just your postings, which is all I have to go on, you are needy, you constantly want other peoples opinions to validate your own point of view. You should trust more in your own ability to know what is right.
So the fact that I have studied the Apollo missions as part of a science project, rather than look up a load of silly opinions of conspiracy theorists who believe any old nonsense rather than actually go educate themselves, cos that might be a little too difficult?
