Memories of my little log cabin

Memories of my little log cabin

A little log cabin back in the woods
Id love to live there if only I could
The smell of the pine trees down by the brook
A thousand memories written in books
The birch bark canoe down by the lake
Home made bannock that I used to bake
Fresh caught pickerel the blueberry cake
Pickles in the jars the ones that I make
Moose meat pies the beaver tail soup
Hat on my head we called a tuque
Wild berries the dandelion roots
The sound we made with our wooden flute
And the sweet smell silence that fill the night air
Makes we wish that I was still there

Mama please don’t cry

Mama please don’t cry

She’s sitting in her rocking chair her hair has now turned grey
She looks off in the distance and seems so far away
Mama can you hear me mama please don’t cry
I didn’t mean to leave you I didn’t want to die
They said the drugs wouldn’t hurt me only make me high
I should have said no thank you I do not want to try
Shadows from the past dance upon her wall
The grief the pain the sorrow I know she’s felt it all
Her life it had been shattered like a broken window pane
Tears have stained her lovely face yet her beauty has remained
Through the years the candle burned in the window every night
I’m here to blow the candle out and take you home tonight
Mama can you see me mama please don’t cry
God is waiting for us in his mansion in the sky

Tha Path of life

THE PATH OF LIFE

You’ll some times wonder
On you journey through life
If God is with you to show the light
Just take a step a step towards him
He’s always been there by your side
And if you doubt him than look around you
I’m sure you’ll see his wondrous ways

You’ll see the fields the fields of flowers
See the children while they play
You’ll hear the birds as they are sinning
And the water running free

You’ll hear the roar the roar of thunder
See the lighting flashing bright
Feel; the rain that fall so gentle
And the breeze upon your face upon

God made the world in many colours
As he did with you and me
So bow your head and give him glory
Give your praise unto the Lord

You’ll feel the peace that’s there with in you
And know that God is very near
Than take his hand and he will guide you
Guide you down the path of life

MY JOURNEY HOME

MY JOURNEY HOME

When my time on earth is over I’ll climb those golden stairs
As I stand before the heaven gates and meet my Jesus there
When I hear him call my name my heart will skip a beat
I’ll fall down on my bended knees and I’ll begin to weep
I will cry with tears of joy when I gaze upon his face
And meet the man that died for me my saviour Jesus Christ

As I stand then they’re before him on my judgement day
I will ask him once again to wash my sins away
He knows I’ve been a sinner, a sinner I have been
Yet he’ll always love me throughout eternity
For he died upon the cross, so all my sins be free
He died upon that blood stained cross he died for you and me

They placed a crown of thorns upon his head that day
Nailed his hands and feet than took his life away
When they pierced his side the blood began to flow
As he wept in silence these words he did repeat

Forgive them my father my father up above
Forgive them my father for they know not what they do
Forgive them oh my father I ask of you this day
Forgive then my father and wash there sins away

When I meet my Jesus I pray he’ll take my hand
Lead me on to heaven to the promise land
Where I’ll meet the master the master of mankind
Meet the great and holy man that sits upon the throne
To see the face of God at last and know that I’m home
To see the face of god at last and know that I’m at home

MY NEIGHBOURS

MY NEIGHBOURS

How great was the worth of my neighbours
They where trustworthy loyal and kind
And there friendship I surly do cherish
For friendship is not easy to find
When I was down on my luck
And the road became rough
They where always there by my side
With a hug or a smile or just talk for a while
These very dear neighbours of mine
There door would always be open
And there coffee was sure
To be fresh
After a long day of toiling
We’d leisurely sit down and we’d
Rest

LOST SOUL

Lost Soul
I am only a dreamer in a wicked old world
Made up of deception corruption and wars
Tormented and beaten forgotten denied
With drugs and additions so many lies
Dreams were shattered pain is within
Years of anger mistrust and betrayal

Can you hear me crying as the tears they flow?
As I fight the demons in the depth of my soul

Not to know ones self where can I go?
I am lost in the shadows nobody knows
Walking the path finding the gate
There’s a key just waiting in its hiding place

Walking the path which way to go
To see to know to walk all alone
A chance to take a warm hand in mine
I am troubled confused energy gone
I am now on the path but still all alone all alone

Can you hear me crying as the tears they flow?
As I fight the demons in the depth of my soul
Can you hear me crying as the tears they flow?
As I fight the demons in the depth of my soul

EAGLES WINGS

For years my love has lingered in the mist of distance time
Like the fragrance of the flowers my love it fills the air
Love is like the flowers that bloom in early spring
Lasts through out the summer time
Than dies when winter comes
You’ll never see the clouds of grey or the storms that lies within
For Love will drive you crazy till you ride upon its wings
Once I built a castle a castle in the sand
Then like the tides that come and go
MY dreams where washed away
I tried to save my castle I swam into the sea
When I could not save it, I drifted with the tide
Fell into the darkness beneath the raging sea
As my final breath I took, I heard the Eagles cry
I will soar now with the Eagles
As they spread their mighty wings
Travel over mountaintops and search the heavens skies
Ill Drift across the desert like the sifting sands of time
ILL breathe the air as Eagles do our hearts are now as one
When you search to find me look towards the sun
You will see the Eagles flying you will hear two Eagles cry
I will ride upon the Eagle’s wings Ill ride with Eagles high
ILL ride upon the Eagles’ wings my love for you will never die

Heart Beat Away

Heart BEAT Away

Make my bed from the petals of roses
My pillow from the soft fallen snow
Dress me in fine silk and linens
Than let me be here no more

I’ll fly on the wings of an angel
To my heavenly home far away
Where someone is standing and waiting
For me to enter this day

My time on this earth now has ended
I am tired and ready to go
I want to go home to Jesus
And suffer this pain no more

I know there will always be sadness
When someone you love goes away
So cherish each moment together
Remember to kneel down and pray

There will be a time in the here after
When we’ll all be together again
We’ll walk in the garden with Jesus
And our hearts won’t be sadden no more

So lye down my head oh so gentle
And wipe all those tears now away
Remember I love you my children
I’m only a heartbeat away

GRANDDAUGHTER

GRANDDAUGHTER

As my eyes gaze upon you granddaughter
I see the radiance beauty with in your smile
You are like a delicate rose bud
Just waiting for the moment for the petals to open
You are like a beautiful butterfly fluttering your wings
You are like a young sparrow ready to fly
The mother keeps you with in the nest
Because the mother sparrow always knows best
Do not be in a hurry as most young people are
Follow your dreams reach for the stars
Travel the world near and far
God gave you talent don’t waste this gift
Let the world see the beauty
With the stroke of your brush
You will Adventure out when the time is right
Than you can spread your wings
My granddaughter and the world will see
The rose bud as it opens its delicate petals
As you become the beautiful rose
I knew that you would be
For ever and always loved

HEARTACHES AND TEARS

HEARTACHES AND TEARS

Grant me the serenity of spirit and grace
To feel the breeze that crosses my face
To hear the whispers so close to me ears
And to feel the love of someone so dear

Gentle kisses and heartaches they go hand in hand
As you feel the heart that is beating so fast
You’ll feel the fire that burns deep inside
As it carries the flames of heartaches and tears

Listen closely to what is not always said
Feel with your heart yet think with your head
The answers will come like the rains that fall
As it carry’s the breath of heartaches and tears
Stand tall and graceful in the presence of fear
Think with wisdom you’ll hear Gods call

TO ALL THE POETS OUT THERE

TO ALL THE POET OUT THERE

Dark clouds form
Severe winds storms trees uprooted
Homes ripped a part by the severe blows
Rains forcing the river‘s to over flow
Destruction for all in its path
Is it Gods way of telling us?
That all we take for granted in life
Can be taken away by his command
And the wave of his hand
Why does so much evil lurk with in our mist?
God gave us the gift of life along with all we need
To nurture our body’s and our souls
Yet so many carry so much greed and hate
With Wars, Hate, Corruption
Drugs dealers taking over and
Destroying so many lives
Are we a lost generation of people
Remember Gods words
Love one another as I have loved you
As poets we have the power
Of the pen we hold in our hands
Make good use of it
Who better to spread the word of love and peace?
Than a poet
God Bless you one and all

walk the path with Jesus

Walk the path with Jesus

Walk the path with Jesus is the only way to go
You’ll see a bright tomorrow
You’ll see the heavens glow
Trust in Jesus Christ the savior of man kind
The darkness then will fade away
If you just kneel down and pray
The sun will shine from heaven
You will have a brighter day
Put your trust in Jesus he’s not that far away
There may be sad tomorrow
But the sun will always shine
If you walk the path with Jesus Christ the savior of man kind
