Conquering worlds
an empty soul remains
scratching the surface
wholeness a haze
searching for some sort of solace
A piece of life to ensure
peace of mind

Trying to fit a circle in square
Reaching out
No one is there
Questioning
the reason for being
Does anyone care
This way up
That way down
Now a smile
Next a frown

God’s love is eternal
and everlasting
His faithfulness ever true
seek His face
strive to be a shiny diamond
in His crown

things of this world
no longer exist
when you’re in the
midst of the Most Highest
Light as a feather
As free as a bird
In His presence soar to a place
Of utmost sacredness

At times
I wish

I had
more hours
in the day
to stand still
and watch
kids at play

to slowly
see the day
fade away into the
stillness of the night
the beauty of dreams
drawing closer
to midnight

I wish
I had more time
to do the things
I want to do for you

A foot rub and a hug or two

I wish
I had more time to take you
up a mountain top
up and far above
assuring you of my true love

I wish I had more time
to BE

To experience
the quietness
within my being
enjoying
as far as the eye can see
all the beauty
surrounding me

I wish
I had more time
to spend
With my Higher Power
He ever so quietly
whispering
His soft voice
lingering
within me

I wish
I had more time
To achieve all the
dreams inside of me

Or to say the things
I want to say to thee

I will have to make due
With what is given to me

TODAY

Today I will tell you
that I love you
on my way to work
I will notice the dove
in search of breadcrumbs
on the sidewalk

I will see me
ever searching for
the “holy grail” of life
if my ever lasting search leads
me to it
the cracks on the outer side will
fade away
I will take
a look closer to find all the
beauty hiding inside

All
I have
to give
back
on what
I have received

Is my love
to you

TODAY

the longer
i know you
the more
i adore you

you give
without
hesitation
you save
relentlessly
to spoil
your loved ones
endlessly

even though
material goods
may disappear
at times

your rock solid
inner strength
ever present
shines

medals and
accolades
for high achievements
could never be
compared
to the love
you have
shared

always full of praise
for beings lesser
than yourself
your pure heart
speaks for itself

your smile
brightens up
the bluest of day
the warmth in your eyes
your laugh
echoing like
a wind chime
tells us we
will be fine

thank you
for the songs
and rhymes
words of wisdom
to carry us through
the storms of life

engraved
with your
name
on the
table of my
heart

from the

Two small voices
In the vastness of being

Independent
Vibrant
When the life on
Opposite ends of the earth
Gets too confusing for words
Your warm smile
Becomes a resting place for a while
Separation of thousands of miles
Fades away
Like the midmorning mist
On the breaking of each new day

The knowledge we share
A silent promise we keep
Till eternity has come
Two souls
Hoping and searching

Left over
Emotions
In the sink
of life

Bits and pieces
of irritation
kernels of anger
pea size splurges
of impatience
slips through the
drain pipes
stuck in your
innermost being
where it lies and
wait patiently
to be seen again

before you know it
your pipes of life
becomes blocked
everything inside
comes to a halt
no room left
for feeling alive

your sink of life
overflows
pent up emotions
throwing their own show
you a helpless
bystander
no control

too late
the filter of
forgiveness

forgotten
in the drawer
a necessity in the
life of a
spiritual person’s
repertoire

it could have
prevented all the spilled
water on the floor

blessed be the man
who keeps no score
of anger and bitterness
in his heart
who faces each day
with a fresh new start

How can you win the game of Life
when you don’t play by the rules
Turn your eyes up to Heaven
Let God be your guide

we are beings born free from fear
let go of what no longer serves you
you serve it if you don’t adhere
that makes you a slave my dear

enjoy life throbbing through your veins
getting in touch with Him
listen to His voice in the silence of night
seek His face in the Height of day
Wherever you go whoever you meet
Give a silent smile, a gift of prayer
share the knowledge that God will always be there

Accept people for who they are
like you they also carry a wish or a silent scar
Refuse to allow obstacles to dissipate
your deepest cherished intentions and desires
experience all the fun and mystery of life
be free as you always wanted to be
and who knows perhaps you will
find your way back to the Garden of Eden

when you experience storms and rain
the first ray of sunlight breaks through a cloudy day
believe you Me the sun will shine upon your face again

Forget me not
when all else in you fails apart and you find no way of staying upright
hold your arms out to me I will catch you, you will see

Forget me not
when you feel all hope is lost, keep your eye and thoughts on Me
I died for you on the Cross

Forget me not
When it feels like your heart is broken into a million pieces
I fed the crowd with five breads and two fishes

Forget me not
When you are stretched beyond your own limitations and strength
grab onto Me I will get you through this
Unscathed Victoriously

Forget me not
when you are drowning in sadness
Remember Me and My love for you
so precious like the rarest of pearls

I’m here all the way, lift your chin up high
There’s a world waiting for you to obtain it

Legend had it to be
On the day of it’s creation
It was unhappy with his spot
In the Garden of Eden

God adhere to its request
And as a lesson in arrogance
thought to the
Cheeky Boabab tree
God made his roots grow upwards to
heaven you see

in a upside down life we live
we need to remember to
plant our roots firmly in heavens quest
turn away from the harshness
of direct sunlight of strife

strive to be like the
breathtaking beauty of the
Boabab tree
Plant your values firmly in God
Dreams and desires directed
towards the heavens

always find a moment of Serenity
and peace
in the corner of the shade
of your Creator s presence

Gardener of life
Please take your shears
And trim away
Dead branches
of unforgiveness and strife
out of this self centered life

rake away daily
the scattered leaves
of pain and life’s regrets
let the songbird of joy
find it’s way back home
in my heart again

let me bask in the sunlight
and soak up all of Your spirit
allow me to take pleasure from
Your life giving water stream

plant the seedlings
of peace, hope and
forget me not’s
in the bedding of my soul
let it grow strong and beautiful
for others to benefit from

allow me dance with You
on the green pastures
of Your back yard
in the safe haven of all
Your unselfish love

True beauty
what is it really
As we often heard
It’s in the eye
of the beholder

Beauty can be found
In almost anything
In a song or rhyme
The sounds of the wind
a moment of remembrance
in page through time’s journal

a majestic tree
in the Amazon jungle
to the brown dunes
of the Sahara dessert
maybe the pure white sands
of Melkbos strand
or the plush green foothills
of the Drakensberg

but none
can compare
to the Splendid One
Who is and was
and is to come
Most High God
Creator of All
Heaven and earth
Every bird in the sky
All of creation
A mere reflection
of His Ultimate Perfection
