AmIhim4U: "Down to earth" makes perfect sense to someone that has sense to understand what it means. Life is a mystery so my picture and profile tells enough to get men with intelligence attention. If they want to know more, they ask. So this is what I think of your opinion

You are not the problem. Many of us have old school values and want that special someone. Unfortunately for many out there they do not respect themselves therefore cannot respect anyone else....sad but true. I am sure you will encounter that special someone at the right time. Your profile is gr8 don't question yourself and don't lower your standards. Only thing I would change is the Modelesque reference to yourself. Hi,in my opinion, you have laid all your life down on your profile blog, you have explained your past, who you are, what you want ,maybe being very brief in your description of yourself will leave room for questions,
Also should you get a date, conversation will flow better .
your blog is a very heavy read. lighten the whole thing up,

johndvm I completely understand where you are coming from after years of disappointment I finally realized that you will know the right one for you when the time is right. You do have to be careful with online dating but sometimes it can surprise you :) keep your head up handsome ;)
