mike69spain: Weird, they oppose double citizen ship in US? Or is it simply the reason that you actually got an American one?

We get a three month visa over the counter when ordering tickets to the US. That is if we do not have a family name starting with Al', El' or Il' something

It is because I have an America passport or I am an American citizen trying to go back home with my Swedish passport.

They just thought it was suspicious...I simply told them I was too lazy to renew it...like it involves me driving 5 hours to Stockholm to the American embassy to do that.

America and Sweden have some kind of deal where it's cool to have double citizenship....

Which makes me wonder - will Sweden accept you showing your American passport at the border and not the Swedish?

I kind of expect them to not care, since they have got all in the same computer system anyway. But interesting never the less.

Still, a lot of that tax pressure is born in Stockholm, and not much reach the outer regions. I have not seen Kalmar since 87, but I do not think much changed in sense of service and such.

It is an expensive system to keep running, but probably a good choice to have the kids grow up.

I did not know that, but also not long in Finland I suppose.

And my question was to people reacting like you in general, as if they had a knife to their throat and everything was meant to be towards (or against) them.

If you had not gone fuming, you would notice that I was making fun of his Swedish and turning into a "I WANT YOU" in Finnish instead.

The last comment was, if the price of learning was to high, be wise and go hunting elsewhere.

Finnish women like men a bit more wood chopper style, by tradition - hence growing a beard.

It had nothing at all to do with you, but with the Finnish culture.

Now it is said, and no, I do not give language lessons. Far from.
